CSR is the responsibility of a company towards the 3 dimension of sustainability:

1. Economic

2. Social

3. Environmental

 

It is about how we manage our impact on the economy, social affairs and the environment.

Economic Dimension: The economic aspect of CSR is to understand the economic impacts of the company’s operations. These issues have been overlooked in the discussion on corporate social responsibility. This aspect of CSR is often mistakenly considered to be synonymous of financial issue.  However, the economic responsibility is not simply a matter of company being financially accountable and recording employment figures in their latest corporate responsibility report. Rather consider the direct and indirect economic impacts that the organization’s operations.

Social Dimension: Many organizations are becoming active in addressing social concerns. Social responsibility means being addressable and accountable for the social activities that affect the company and its operations.

Environmental Dimension: As the HR services are increasing, the environment has started playing a large role in social responsibility. Corporate activities have many types of effects on the environment. Usually environmental impact refers to a negative effect that may occur in the natural environmental due to the business operations.
