With the increased use of internet and technology worldwide, web designing has become one of the most sought after careers these days. Web designing is emerging as an important career option. The term web design is normally used to describe the design process relating to the front-end (client side) design of a website including writing mark up.

There are two primary jobs involved in creating a website: the web designer and web developer, who often work closely together on a website. The web designers are responsible for the visual aspect, which includes the layout, colouring and typography of a web page. Web designers will also have a working knowledge of using a variety of languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and Flash to create a site, although the extent of their knowledge will differ from one web designer to another.

Some of the latest trends in web designing are huge background images, card-based designs, digital first branding, open data, responsive design evolved etc. Responsive web design is at its best when it’s device agnostic; where you’re not aiming to design for particular resolutions or sizes. Instead you should be aiming to design with the content and design in mind and how this content flows and adapts to the various environments it might be seen or used in.
