Productivity Killers

‘Productivity Killers ‘-we can define this term as the distractions or problems leading to a decline in the productivity level of the employees. Productivity of the employees refers to the capacity of their abilities which is useful for the organisation . Whenever there is a decline Β in the productivity level of the employees there is reason behind it . The reason can be either personal or professional but their is some reason behind it .For example a person is suffering from stress or he is having some family disputes then he will not be able to concentrate on his work properly . This will lead to a decline in hisΒ Β performance . In this situation we can say that ‘STRESS’ was the productivity killer. Lets have a looks at some other productivity killers in the organisation :

* Texting – Now a days , people prefer to stay in contact with each other . Moreover, with the help of cell phones it is very easy for the employees to stay connected with their friends and family and its most basic way of connection is texting . It is becoming a kind of addiction . People cannot resist after listening the ‘beep’ sound of their phone and this is becoming a major drawback in the growth of the productivity of the employee. The employees are not able to concentrate properly on their work and as a result there is a sure decline in the performance of the employees. And now a days watsapp and facebook are so in πŸ˜› !

* Breaks : Breaks are considered to be very helpful for the recreation of employees and reducing their mental stress . But on the other hand we can say that these breaks sometimes breaks the continuity and the employees . And sometimes it is also observed that the employees take more time to concentrate on their work after a break.

Personal reasons can also be considered as productivity killers , such as depression , stress , family issues or disputes etc.
