5 steps to remove stress from decision making

5-steps-to-remove-stress-from-decision-making

Making decisions can be stressful. Some stress is unavoidable, especially when it comes to decision making. Learn to manage stress.

1. Talk things over

Talk with a trusted friend or colleague when issues seem overwhelming; simply sharing your feelings can bring relief. Sometimes taking about problems can help you discover solutions!

2. Learn relaxation techniques

Take a short break or a few deep breaths for quick relocation in a stressful situation. Or, practice breathing exercise: sit or lie down in a quiet, comfortable place; take slow, deep breaths and concentrate only breathing –a few minutes should be enough.

3. Do something you enjoy

This can be a great way to reduce stress. It can help you put your unconscious mind to work on decision making, too.

4. Budget your time wisely

Don’t try to do everything at once. Set priorities and work to accomplish the most important things first. Pace yourself and allow as much time as you can for the decisions that need it.

5. Set goals for yourself

Break the process into manageable, measurable steps so you can see how you’re doing-and how far you’ve come!
