Few tips for success in a telephonic interview are listed to be followed for job-seekers

• Before appearing for an interview, practice a sample or demo interview with a friend or family member and record it to know about your communication skills.
• If possible, reduce or avoid using “ums” or “uhs” or “okays”
• Avoid smoking, chewing gum, eating or drinking
• Keep a glass of water nearby.
• Smile as applicable, as it gives a positive image to interviewer and also change your tone .
• Speak slowly but, with clear phonetics.
• Use the interviewer’s title like Mr. or Ms. along with their last name. Only use a first name if they ask you to.
• Never interrupt the interviewer.
• Take time as needed to recollect any facts or answer the interviewer’s query.
• Be brief in answering.
• Thank the interviewer after completion.
• Ask the interviewer to meet in person if it would be possible.
• Also try to make note of questions asked during the interviewer.
