Age Limit:-The age of the candidate should not be less than 15 years and should not be more than 24 years as on 1st January 2015.
Qualification:-Candidate should have Matriculation, +2 examination system recognized by board i.e. COBSE / India or any other recognized Board with minimum 50% marks excluding additional subjects) and ITI certificate in the relevant trade affiliated to NCVT compulsory in relevant trade.
Selection Procedure:- Selection will be on the basis of Engagement of Act. Apprentices will be done only on the basis of marks obtained in the matriculation examination or 10th class in the +2 examination system and minimum marks of eligibility shall be kept at 50% in aggregate (excluding additional subjects) and having ITI certificate in the relevant trade is compulsory.
Application Fee:-An account payee Bank Draft on any Nationalized Bank or postal order drawn in favor of FA and CAO, South Eastern Railway / Garden Reach, payable at Kolkata. No Bank Draft / PO is required for candidates belonging to SC / ST / PH / Ex-servicemen, Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes.
How to apply:-Interested and Eligible candidates may apply in prescribed application form along with one passport size photograph, copies of all certificates viz. proof of date of birth, educational / technical qualification certificate, Mark sheet of Matriculation, caste certificate, PH certificate, Ex-servicemen certificate, OBC certificate, duly attested and also by a Gazette officer of central or state government and bearing office seal, send to workshop personnel officer, South Eastern Railway, Kharagpur, District Paschim Medinipur, Pin:- 721301, West Bengal.
