Seven Car Maglev Hits World Record

Seven Car Maglev Hits World Record

A new page is created in the history of Railways. Tokyo is all set to sell its technology as Maglev – the state-of-the-art Japanese train created a world speed record recently near Mount Fuji. It broke its own record of 600 kms/hr.

The super-speed train hit a speed of 603 kph while managing almost 11 seconds while breaking its previous record. All this owes to the train’s technology – the magnetic levitation. To explain briefly, the train remains at 4 inches above the tracks. The fuel to this train are magnets that are charged by electricity.

To think of a train smashing at such a speed can give chills to each and everybody. Reading such an amazing record gives this thought of witnessing such a phenomenal miracle. The miraculous train can put to force the feeling of g-force as the speed grows higher. Just like the airplane.

Most impressive thing about the train is that with the increase in speed, it becomes more stable.

The Central Railways of Japan are planning for a train that would ply the 286 km run from Tokyo to Nagoya, the central city, by 2027.
