Rooting an Android Phone

Rooting an Android Phone

In “Android Module -1” I have given a brief of what rooting actually means . so going into details .
2 out of 3 Smartphone owners in the world are android users . Do you know your phone is much more capable of doing than you’re expecting .

Rooting is a process by which user can make full use of their phones. It is a process of allowing user running in Android to get full access of their smart phone . In short You can call yourself as “Super User” than a “Normal User”. In simpler words, Android Phone has 2 section. 1st Section which is presented in the outside world and 2nd which is locked from access.
Rooting means Breaking the Lock.

so why do you wanna Root?

1. Install incapable app.
As said before after rooting you get a full control on your hand you can install any app that was not released for your smart phone.

2. Install CWM
Not just you can custom your entire phone as well as your recovery too. CWM is clock work mod recovery .It has more advance features like manage cache , flash zip files from the phone itself .

3. Flash custom ROM
Want something new on your phone /OS. Find many custom OS. Flash it to your phone .

like One of my Friend has installed Android jellybean in his phone which only supported Gingerbread .
Go for Cyano Gen Mod which are much stable custom ROMs.

4. Decrease your Ram usage
If you have 1 GB ram / 512 MB ram smart phone and I guess you all have noticed even if all task are closed your ram usage is still 80% of total. Even you manually kill all the running application it won’t decrease below 75% but after rooting it will decrease further to 40-50% means more speed . ;P

5. Increase Internal memory
After rooting you can directly link you apps  directly to your sd card. so that no more space problem .

Disadvantages

Even if this features look awesome there are some serious disadvantages ..

1. If you don’t go for a safe rooting process you would end up in a state called “Brick”. Now you all you have to do is to visit the service centre and as you have tried the rooting process you will be charged for the same .

2. Warranty will be void..
In some phone there is option for un-rooting which can restore your warranty but only available in an amble of smartphone

3. No official updates from the phone manufacturer.

Happy Rooting 🙂
