Several eminent teachers have expressed their concern about the rush in executing the Four-Year Undergraduate Program (FYUP). The HRD Minister, M M  Pallam Raju reiterated that his ministry would surely examine their concerns but would not disturb the momentum towards its implementation.

The decision to defer the programme by a year would be left to DelhiUniversity. The concerns expressed are given deep thought and scrutinized properly so as to address the concerns expressed. Raju said the concerns were limited to the speed with which the programme was being implemented and the omissions of some key elements of the course but not against FYUP.
