How to be confident

They say nobody is perfect..but still we are all unique and special in our own ways! Yet, we all have that constant urge to change something about ourselves, whether it is something in our physical appearance or our nature..and  that is absolutely okay because what can be changed must be changed, after all life is all about becoming a better version of ourselves each day! Right ?

But, wait, if that urge is taking away your confidence and is making you too self conscious, be it about your short height, your complexion, your being over weight or your introvert nature, then it’s time you check yourself. It is important to be comfortable in your skin, and feel confident no matter how you are! Here we offer you tips to check yourself-

 

  1. ACCEPT yourself – Yes, firstly you need to realize that we are all endowed with a particular body type,skill set and fundamental nature that makes us, US! And if you constantly brood about all of these, then it is doing you no good, because no one likes a person who doesn’t like himself. And remember, what is natural is never disgraceful! So, accept and love yourself for the way god made you. And see how you will start to feel comfortable in yourself in just a few days.

 

  1. Do NOT compare yourself to others – Half our worries come into picture when we compare ourselves with how others are. While it’s good to admire others but to let it bring down your own confidence is not good.Seeing that girl in the grocery store with that perfect figure makes you feel uncomfortable,for you are fat and heavy. Or thinking to yourself that how your colleague in office is much more sociable than you are and hating yourself for it is not right. Instead look at the other good things you have which probably others admire in you, which maybe your endearing personality as a person or your thick long hair.

 

  1. Make the RIGHT choices – Identify what suits you and what doesn’t, what makes you comfortable and confident and what makes you conscious. Keeping track of all this for a period of time will help you make the right choices. Like if you know that having a dull complexion, wearing a certain colour makes you look bright and confident then wear more of that. Also accentuate your other good points rather than sulking about the bad ones. Being comfortable with how you are will help you project yourself confidently.

So, keep challenging yourself to becoming better and brighter each day but at the same time, be comfortable in your skin and absolutely confident about yourself.

And remember, when you accept yourself and love yourself, then the world will love you back!
