A call for the job interview is the most important moment for a job seeker, but that does not mean that you have been selected for the job. Things get intense and more complicated from this point, therefore it suggested to be more careful and alert during this phase. A job interview gives you the perfect opportunity to present yourself to your prospective employer. However, it has been observed that most job seekers falter at this crucial stage, which not only proves detrimental to their success but also takes them away from the much awaited job offer.

Some common mistakes observed during a Job Interview are,

  1. Appearing late for the interview – Being late shows your casual attitude
  2. Dressing Style – Must have a simple yet professional look
  3. Manipulation – Better to be honest rather than manipulating facts
  4. Nervousness – Everyone is a bit nervous for an interview, but this nervousness should not appear on your face
  5. Speak well – Speaking too much or too less both hampers your impression so it is better to speak only as and when required
  6. Being present – Be physically as well as mentally present in the interview
  7. Overloading with questions – Do not ask too many queries without being asked to do so
  8. Eye contact – Maintaining eye contact shows your level of confidence
  9. Ringing mobile Phone – Shows your casual behavior towards the interviewers
  10. Thank You – Do not forget to say “Thank You’ after the interview is over
