‘Zero Defect’ A Philosophy to bring convergence in ideas, principle, process and approach towards the excellence.

With Industry 4.0 generation, there is need of ideology to work in holistic approach and manner in order to achieve sustainable growth and development in society. ‘Zero Defect’ philosophy is to negate the view ‘ to err is human’, though aims at total perfection / to do right job at first time. This idea originated in 1961 USA at Martin Company, Orlando Division.

The main objective of Zero Defect program is to motivate the worker, professionals at feel pride for the work they were doing and to do his job as perfectly as possible. In order to infusing the motivating factor in industry there is various means as program to support, creating environment to interact, awareness programs participation, certificating the professionals etc. It is a Long Term methodology to be adapted in order to bring dynamic shift in economy of a country.

Zero Defect Policy can work in diverse area of manufacturing, services and policy creation. In order to achieve the relevant consciousness in terms of quality and value creation there is need to re-engineering / transforming the methods and applying appropriate measure to combat the problem. It Strategies with adoption of Innovation, Sustainability and R&D as tool to foster in direction of ZD, it brings Transformation in individual that lead to overall change. ZD is voluntary principles for individuals to achieve zero compliance to error and perfection at first.
