Training Needs !

Training makes an important contribution to the development of the organisation`s  human resources and hence to the achievement of its aims and objectives . To achieve its purpose , training needs to be effectively managed so that the right training is given to the right peeps , in the right form , at the right time and at the right cost .

The term training indicates the process involved in improving the aptitudes , skills and abilities of the employees to perform specific jobs . Training helps in updating old talents and developing new ones.

Training is assuming an ever increasing importance in the industry due to following reasons :

  1. Technological advances : Due to unparalleled developments in industrial technology , many unskilled jobs are disappearing . If the employees are to remain employed , they must engage in training programmes to update themselves for more skilled positions and to familiarize themselves with new processes and production techniques . In addition , as new management techniques and technical developments appear , higher employees need refresher courses .
  2. Organisational complexity : Big organisations deal with extremely complex problem of coordination and integration activities . recent development in information technology especially the use of computers and promise to alleviate many of these problems, but requires that training and re training must be continuous at all levels in such organisations . an average manager faces a major learning task if he has to keep up with developments in his field .
  3. Organisational tenure : College graduates are hired not for their present management skills but for their potential to become capable managers . Trainees who are successful , move on to higher levels of responsibility in the organisation .
  4. Object of training : The main aim of training is to induce a suitable change in the individual concerned .Experienced employees need to be taught to operate in familiar equipment . Persons raised to supervisory levels can be taught how to plan and control their units and help their subordinates . Due to accelerated growth in technology in recent years , industry has been forced to pay more attention to the aspect of retraining its existing employees .

Training needs  must be identified by Hr manager else it will be loss of the company . To regular compete in global markets its to important to update with new things as early as possible . when training needs identifies properly or regular that leads to high competition , growth etc .
