Any one can agree with this “universal fact” that media influences us all (masses), and that to a great extent! However, the kind of influence it has on us varies and can differ from situation to situation and from person to person.

Media can be regarded as magnet that holds us with itself (maybe stronger than it). Nowadays modern media has come up that is not restricted only to the newspapers and magazines i.e. print or some news anchor reading news to us even though the fact that these two kind of media also influences us also can’t be ignored. The term Social Media has become a kind of household name nowadays. This “social media” has been so much into use that many new apps are coming related to it and also around mind boggling 56% people all over the globe use Facebook while 11% use Twitter according to Statistic Brain website.

Various theories and models have been given in the past by various scholars among which some say that media influences audiences directly while some say it is the audience that decide whether they will be influenced or not by media.

But the fact that can be inferred from the social circles  we reside in that media do shape us and they show that things that they want us to think about- now it depends on us whether we will take it positively or negatively.
