Hi πŸ˜€

Heya πŸ˜›

I have used different emoticons to show my sadness, happiness, excitement and fun through written communication. This is an era of texting, long chats and sharing feelings via social networking sites. We use emoticons there to tell our mood swings.

In simple language, if we describe communication then

It is a way to share informations by speaking, writing or using some other medium.

We communicate in different ways. Long phone calls, thousands of mbs chat history and much more in the list of nomal communication.

Communication is not limited to what we say or what we write. It is unique for its extensive use of languages.

For ex. If we write something then proper use of punctuation, grammer, conjunction everything matter.

If we speak then our body language, fluency in sentences, facial expressions etc matter.

Communication process involves three primary steps :

1. Thought : first we visualize in our mind that what we want to do.

2. Encoding : we tell to the receiver about our thoughts.

3.Decoding : Receiver works accordingly after getting the instructions.

Research has shown that up to 55% of human communication may occur through non – verbal facial expressions and a further 38% through paralanguage which is a component of meta communication that convey through pitch, volume, tempo etc.

“No one would talk much in the society if they knew how often they misunderstood others.”

Animals can’t speak but they communicate by different of means for ex. Scent, sound, sight, touch, credits.

Dogs express their anger through snarling. Β Many animals use vocalization as a mean of communication. Frans de waal came to the conclusion that apes and humans are unique because they are able to use intentional gestures.

If we talk about the modern technology, then computers, laptops, mobile phones have their own language. Did not you hear about C, C++ programming , java, tally etc.

Plants too communicate through their stems, roots and leaves.

Everything whether living or non living communicate using different means of languages. And it is not about language only but also about feelings. We communicate to share our feelings as well. Communication reflects our character. Someone righlty said :

“It is not distance that keeps us apart but it is lack of communication.”
