What is Induction?

  1. Induction is a process by which the employees are received or welcomed.
  2. It is a formal introduction of employees to work, work location and his/her colleagues.
  3. It is an understanding of:
    1. Job
    2. Roles and Responsibilities
    3. Values
  4. It teaches the importance of team work and his/her role within the team.

Aim of Induction

  1. Induction assists in promoting culture, values and philosophy of the organization.
  2. It clarifies expectations of employer and the employee.
  3. It clarifies the roles and performance expectations from the employee.
  4. It commences a process of structured feedback on performance of the employee.
  5. It lays emphasis on customer/client focus.
  6. It promotes an environment of health, safety and welfare of the organization and the employee.
