Human Resource Management by Manpreet Singh

Human Resource management

You can’t teach employees to smile .They have to smile before you hire them..This is correctly said as it totally highlights what actually Human resource management is.

Human resource management is the process of recruitment, selection of employee, providing proper training and developing skills, motivating and maintaining proper relations with labour and with trade unions. If we break HRM in more simpler words then it says…:

Human: is a skilled workforce

Resource : is the limited availability

Management: is to maximise or proper utilzation or the best use of limited resources

So ,altogether with the context of an organisation it is the process of proper and maximise utilization of available limited skilled force.HRM includes:

  • conducting job analysis
  • planning personnel needs and recruitment
  • selecting the right people for job
  • orientation and training
  • determining and managing wages and salaries
  • appraising performance
  • resolving disputes

maintaining awareness of and compliance with local and state and federal labour laws.

These are all the functions of HRM,which is to be used effectively in utilisation of Human resource

So,i would conclude by saying that, behind the production of every product or service there is human mind, effort and man hours. No product or service can be produced without the help of human being

Human resource are the most important asset for any organisation.
