Code of ethics is a written set of guidelines issued by companies or organisations to its workforce and management to help them conduct their day to day business activity as per primary values and ethical standards . these guidelines assist professionals to do business honestly and with integrity . corporate code of ethics outlines mission and values of the business that serves as a standing guide for ethical behaviour .

Following code of ethics provided by companies for HR managers :

  • Uphold the honour and dignity of the profession.
  • Focus and maintain integrity as the keynote of professional conduct and  professionals must perform their duties with fairness, fidelity , dedication , honestly etc to the cause of profession.
  • Not allow any interest other than professional to intervene with the office work .
  • Recognize and accept the dignity and worth of an individual as a human being irrespective of race , religion, language , caste etc. for the development of his personality.
  • Endeavour  to provide opportunities for the development and enhancement of subordinates.
  • Let all  subordinates open with sharing information with the management  which leads to better coordination between the management and labor force .
  • Uphold the principal of appropriate remuneration for those employed in professional work
  • Not to associate in work with another HR professional who doesn`t  conform or follow ethical standards .
  • Promote the concepts , skills , methods & techniques in the organisation work that contribute to productivity , growth , profitability and employee satisfaction.
  • Not disclose any information of a confidential nature related to the operations of the employer or client.

Those companies who are particular in forming code of ethics for their professionals and subordinates and ensures that activities are going as per ethics . attains greater productivity , able to attract talented peeps , creates environment of honesty , integrity , loyalty etc. , build good public image . in simple words it leads to GOOD CORPORATE GOVERNANCE ,this will automatically leads to long term growth of the business.
