Campus recruitment or placements means picking students who have relevant qualification to fill the jobs in an organisation. campus recruitment  are in trend . Most of the companies hires employees directly from their respective colleges or campus . these companies includes big brands like coke , IBM ,hp , icici etc . they want to retain the fresh talent or mind .

There are certain guidelines which organisations shall follow before going in for campus recruitment.

  • Shortlist campuses : The campuses whose curricula and specialization match the needs of a company are shortlisted in advance .
  • Choose recruiting team carefully: The recruiting team should consist of senior executive , having thorough knowledge of the company and the job . alumni from B-school form which the firm wants to hire people could also be used to get positive response .
  • Pay smartly ,not highly : Compensation generally is not the most important factor at the initial stage of one`s career. therefore the recruiting firm should focus attention on a compensation package that is competitive enough and in line with industry practices . New recruits find recognition system , work culture and the learning opportunities as a bigger attraction .
  • Present a clear image : Present a clear image of how you will help the students recruits in building a promising or strong career within a short span of time .
  • Do not oversell yourself : There is no point in overselling the qualities / advantages of a learning environment or being the best pay master etc. through inflated claims . instead , facts must be presented in an open & frank way throwing light on how performance gets rewarded and how competencies are nurtured carefully .
  • Get in early : Leading companies try to identify the students , who are interested , as early as possible and build fruitful relationships with them through various means .
  • Not everyone fits the bill : To avoid disappointment at a later stage , the recruiting company  should try to verify the career plans , aspirations and expectations of recruit elects and recheck everything objectively before extending the job offers .
