Breaking the stereotype

Breaking the stereotype

Beyond the dull walls and the congested cubicles of the offices lies a vast area of expertise still undiscovered by those limited to think inside theβ€œfiles” . Human resource is the most potential and dynamic, budding exploration field. But this path of development is hindered by typecasts existing since the golden age. When an adventurer is forced to uptake a 9 to 4 desk job, neither does he gets the value for his service nor does the company gets its value for money. Or when an artist has to bus tables, the only thing he gets out of it is money, not a living.

What can possibly be so adamant as to cause these and many more such cruelties and wreak havoc in the personal lives of thousands of people? What has the million-dollar Human Resource Development industry missed that’s costing billions to the market?

The answer is as simple as β€œPursuits”. Give a runner a mile to run and he’ll run two, give it to a painter and he’d be never make it. The world needs to understand that degrees and interests are two separate entities and while degrees might imbibe skills in us, it’s always the interest that is the strongest driving force.

Here’s to hoping the world becomes a better place in which people get paid for doing what they love.

I totally agree with whatever has been stated in the post. Opting a career because of personal interest will lead to a ladder of success. πŸ™‚

    • Sure. See what we have now a days is a situation in which people with same degrees are given similar jobs, regardless of their talents and field of interest and it’s been going on for so long that it has become a tradition of some sort in the HR industry. Thus, breaking the stereotype! πŸ™‚

    Nice article Divya! πŸ˜€
And you’re right that in today’s world, one must pursue a career where one’s interest and passion lies because that can take you to different heights altogether. Plus gives you a different and more satisfying feeling too!

  • Nice article . I agree with you that people should focus on pursuing a career based on their passion. Societal conditioning forces people to pursue a career with a hefty package whether they like the job or not.

  • Totally agree as people are no more into things that they really want to be in. They are more or less pressurized by family or financial conditions or be it the society. They have become like a puppets who do whatever there duties or managers require even if they are least interested. Just because to earn living.
