Bilateral lateral Investment by Russia has very dynamic and optimistic attitude towards private sector participation. Also Russia is very good destination for high-end software development and energy investment to offer the benefits of low-cost infrastructure and high literacy rates. On other hand India, offers huge opportunities in infrastructure, metallurgy , real estate etc.

Up-till Now, Indian interest in Russia limited to defense, nuclear and heavy industry which needs to broaden by sense of Branding the commodity both sides.

RUSSIAN INVESTMENTS IN INDIA

  • Transstroi engineering company and Tsentrdorstroi construction Co. involved in high quality roads in india
  • Atomstroieksport, The Russian nuclear export monopoly, build two 1000 Megawatts unit at Koodankulam nuclear power plant,TN.
  • Elektrostal Heavy Engineering Plant and Tyazhpromesksport are involved in various programs for India’s metallurgical industry
  • Stroitransgaz has completed the construction of two section of East-West gas pipeline.
  • In 2012, India invited Russia to participate in infra development projects, like DMIC.

INDIAN INVESTMENT IN RUSSIA

  • ONGC  Videsh Ltd. acquired a 20% share in Sakhalin 1 oil and gas project
  • TATA Motors launched a project to assemble its light-duty trucks at Russia’s Ural automobile and Motor Plant (AMUR) and assembling buses at Volzhanin and Samotlor plants
  • ICICI bank opened a subsidiary,ICICI Bank Eurasia in Russia
  • SUN group’s investment in Russia’s Mining,Food and real-estate industries
  • Coal India is involved in exploring coal deposits
  • India’s GMR infrastructure ltd is participating for reconstruction and maintenance of St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo Airport
  • RIL (Reliance Industries Ltd ) entered into agreement with Tatarstan in partnering in petrochemicals and crude refining businesses
  • GAIL (India) Ltd has signed a MoU with ITERA Oil & Gas Company of Russia for participation in CNG projects and Gas based petrochemicals 

All above shows the Potential way ahead in various areas of ICT, Automotives, Oil &Gas, Nuclear Energy,Pharmaceuticals,Chemicals, Higher Education, Advance Technology-BioTech-Nanotech-Enviorment, heavy engineering, Diamond industry.
