It is the process of getting detailed information about a job. It is of utmost importance to both the HR managers and the Line Managers. It is the process of collecting the data about a job.

  • Gather information
  • Process information
  • Job description
  • Job specification

1.Strategic choice:

IT has five choice list which are follow:

  • Employee involvement
  • Level of details
  • Time and frequency of analysis
  • Past-oriented versus future oriented analysis
  • Sources of job data

2.Gather information:

It is the process of collecting information form experienced person based on two factors: Purpose of job and status of job.

3.Information processing:

Once the information are collected then it should be processed so it will helpful in various functions.

4.Job description:

A list of tasks, duties, and responsibilities (TDRs) involved in a job.

5.Job specification:

A list of knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics (KSAOs) of worker.

Conclusion:

Job analysis provide more benefits to the analyst. IT make employee to work comfortably and also make them to work more efficiently for the effectiveness of an organization. IT also provide competitive advantage to an organization.
