<p>Every body is astonished to see the people young at the age&nbsp; group of 40-50. In today’s society every one wants to look young and attractive.&nbsp; Old age has become a social problem in our time but the actor Salman, Sharukh and&nbsp; Aamir Khan is an example of&nbsp; young at the age&nbsp; group of 40-50.</p>
<p>Every one has a desire&nbsp; to stay young and enjoy the life as much as he can. No matter what lengths we go to, to stay young, there will always be that fear in the back of our minds of getting old. Because of this we often look at aging as a negative perception. We fear the mental and physical decline. The thought of not remembering our past or even friends and families is scary, what is there to like about forget all the wonderful memories that took us so long to accumulate. And then there’s the fear of physical decline, knowing that we risk the chance of not being as youthful as we would like to be.</p>
<p>Missing out on all the fun of playing with the grandchildren, taking long walks at night or even those bike rides that we once enjoyed. The thought loneliness, being unwanted, or becoming a burden and dependent upon our friends and family members is another reason we fear getting old. It seems like when we get older our friends tend to diminish and our interests seem to clash with the younger generation, so they stop coming around as much. Then there’s the thought of having to rely on other people to help us in our daily activities. The last thing we want is for someone to have to take care of us, and loosing our independence. No more being able to jump in the car and go to the store or friends houses. Finally there’s the thought of disease and death, which people state are their biggest fears or old age. Who wants to think about all the health problems we will have to look forward to and all the doctors’ visits and pills that accompany these problems.</p>

<p>You see a new boy entering the classroom and start commenting about his dressing sense. While you are flattered by his personality, you don’t want to admit it and continue to draw in your own conclusions. Then my dear friend, you are being highly judgmental.</p>
<p>We’ve all been there. Frankly, anyone who says they haven’t been judgmental is probably lying. The thing is, being judgmental is not just an act, rather it is a part of our behavior. Let’s face it; we judge others because we need to feel better about ourselves. But most importantly, being judgmental gives us the satisfaction that we are better than others. It indeed makes us feel superior and secure.</p>
<p>In today’s world it is easy to be a bystander and judge the deeds and actions of others. We tend to view others from our perspective and often end up being prejudiced at the first sight. We certainly judge the actions of everyone around us and constantly view their actions through our own evaluative lenses. Though we don’t intend to find faults or humiliate anyone, yet out of necessity, unknowingly, we judge people and make first impressions of them in our minds. What comes next is the exchange of negative vibes which eventually results into hatred.</p>
<p>When we criticize, we have the ability to interfere with someone’s self esteem. As Theodore Roosevelt said, “It is not the critic that counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood.”</p>
<p>However, we cannot deny the fact that it is human nature to be judgmental. We see someone and based on their looks and actions, we pass judgment on them. Most importantly, it is usually without even knowing the person. We don’t even tend to make an effort to get to know the person or understand them or at least check if our judgment was right or wrong.</p>
<p>When we lash out at others it is a defense mechanism. Our behavior is a product of feelings and issues we are trying to cope with and these have nothing to do with other people. We all are different and have our own opinions and not everyone is going to agree on everything. This fact is beautifully summed up in the lines of Rumi, “You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop”. We shall thus start to see the best in others as it’ll help bring out the best in us.</p>
<p>We can help ourselves by scrutinizing our behavior and keeping a check on our thought process. We should notice our ways and stop ourselves from judging others. Then we can proceed forward by understanding the dynamics of the situation. Putting ourselves in other’s shoes and accepting the circumstances will let us see the clear picture and do away with the unwanted sarcasms.</p>
<p>Also, we need to know that when we always have a reason behind our every action, so it is with everyone else. It is just that we need to find out their back story before being so judgmental. Not everyone has had the same experiences, challenges and blessings that we had. We make our choices because of our unique upbringing and life circumstances. Thus we shall be a little more understanding and empathetic. Then we can go and make an effort to talk to them and know the reason behind their actions.</p>
<p>We can even step forward to watch out our language. If we genuinely want to help someone or give them an advice, we must watch out on our words. We can avoid using words that are negative and critical. Instead of being judgmental and telling them what they “should” do, we can rather give them a suggestion and let them decide what’s right for them.</p>
<p>In addition to this, we all know that judging is a part of gossiping. Moreover, it is more tempting to judge others when we are with a gaggle of friends. We can avoid this by discussing a better topic or else simply moving out of the conversation if it becomes a bit judge-y.</p>
<p>As Earl Nightingale pointed out, “When you judge others, you do not define them, you define yourself”. Hence we should not be so quick to judge others, we never know when we might just find ourselves walking in that person’s shoes.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The <u>European Union</u> was formed with the aim of ending the frequent and bloody wars between neighbors, which culminated the 2<sup>nd</sup> World War, after which, European integration was seen as an antidote to extreme nationalism which had devastated the continent where Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg and Netherlands were the six founders.</p>

<p>The European Union has developed <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internal_market">an internal single market</a> through a standardized system of laws that apply in all member states. It is currently composed of 19 member states that use the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euro">euro</a> as their legal tender and of 28 member states in total that are located in Europe. Covering 7.3% of the world population, the EU in 2014 generated a nominal <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gross_domestic_product">gross domestic product</a> (GDP) of 18.495 trillion US dollars, constituting approximately 24% of global <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nominal_GDP">nominal GDP</a> and 17% when measured in terms of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purchasing_power_parity">purchasing power parity</a>.</p>
<p>The euro is the second largest <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reserve_currency">reserve currency</a> as well as the second most traded currency in the world after the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_dollar">United States dollar</a>.</p>
<p>EU accounts for 16.5% of global trade, and is therefore, world’s largest trading block. It is the largest trading partner for over 80 countries with Britain being the 2<sup>nd</sup> biggest economy in the Union.</p>
<p>Britain had joined EU primarily since it was perceived to be a way of stopping their economic recession, which it did.</p>
<p><u>Some significant arguments for Britain wanting to leave the EU was</u></p>
<p>The EU threatens British sovereignty and overrides national laws. That is, over the past decades a series of EU treaties have shifted a growing amount of power from individual member states to the central EU bureaucracy in Brussels. Especially, EU’s executive branch, European Commission which is not directly accountable to the voters in Britain nor anyone else.</p>
<p>It is argued that that EU’s burdensome regulations cost the British economy “$880 million every week” approximately and that EU rules are sometimes ludicrous and infuriating. Therefore, EU is entrenching corporate interests and prevents radical reforms being anti-democratic</p>
<p>The global recession that began in 2008 was bad around the world, but it was much worse in countries that had adopted Europe’s common currency, ir, euro. The unemployment rate shot up above 20% in countries like Greece and Spain, triggering a massive debt crisis. Even now, the countries are still suffering believing euro to be the primary culprit.</p>
<p>Many economist believe that deeper fiscal and political integration will be needed for the eurozone to work properly. Europe needs a common welfare and tax system so that countries facing severe downturns – like Greece and Spain. But that makes Britain’s continued inclusion in the EU awkward. Britain is unlikely to go along with deeper fiscal integration, but it would also be unwieldy to create a set of new, parallel euro-zone specific institutions that excluded the UK. Therefore, UK leaving EU would clear the path for the rest of the EU to evolve more quickly into a unified European state.</p>
<p>Whereas the emotional case for Brexit is heavily influenced by immigration since EU law guarantees citizens of one EU country the right to travel, live and take jobs in other EU countries. Because of this, in the 2008 financial crisis, workers from eurozone countries flocked to the UK in search of work. This has depressed the wages of native-born British workers. This has also led to the concern regarding immigrants using scarce public services. Therefore, UK could have a more rational immigration system outside the EU.</p>
<p>The EU doesn’t have the power to directly collect taxes, but it requires member states to make an annual contribution to the central EU budget, which is $19 billion per year, in UK’s case, ie, $300 per person in UK. While, much of this money is spent on services in the UK, Brexit supporters still argue that it would be better for UK to keep the money and have the Parliament decide how to spend it.</p>
<p><u>UK referendum(voting):</u> David Cameron, leader of the Conservative Party and Prime Minister since 2010, announced support for a referendum on Britain&#8217;s EU membership&nbsp;in 2013 in response to his own Conservative MPs and UK independence Party (UKIP), who argued that Britain had not had a say since 1975, when it <a href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/stories/june/6/newsid_2499000/2499297.stm">voted to stay in the EU in a referendum</a>.</p>
<p>He said that the country would hold the vote before 2017 if the Conservatives were re-elected in the May 2015 general election. They were, and Cameron pursued a re-negotiation of the terms of Britain&#8217;s membership, to be followed by a vote on Brexit.</p>
<p>Cameron supports the &#8220;remain&#8221; side (sometimes dubbed &#8220;Bremain&#8221;), arguing that the renegotiated terms he secured with European Council President&nbsp;Donald Tusk&nbsp;are favorable to Britain.</p>
<p>The terms Cameron&nbsp;secured with the EU, includes exemption from the principle of &#8220;ever-closer union,&#8221; enhanced recognition for the <a href="http://www.investopedia.com/terms/g/gbp.asp">pound</a>, a four-year &#8220;emergency brake&#8221; on in-work benefits to EU migrants and a &#8220;red card&#8221; system that would allow a bloc of EU parliaments to block legislation from Brussels. Most supporters of the &#8220;in&#8221; camp base their opinion on the largely unforeseeable economic consequences of exit, rather than an emotional attachment to the EU.</p>
<p>Whereas, supporters of&nbsp;Brexit base their opinion on a variety of factors from the global competitiveness of British businesses to concerns about immigration. Britain has already opted out of the EU&#8217;s monetary union (meaning that it uses the pound&nbsp;instead of the <a href="http://www.investopedia.com/terms/e/euro.asp">euro</a>)&nbsp;and the Schengen Area (meaning that it does not share open borders with a number of other European states). &#8220;Out&#8221; campaigners argue that Brussels&#8217; bureaucracy is a drag on the British economy and that EU laws and regulations are a threat to British sovereignty. If Britain leaves the EU, it may cause the remaining member states to take the next steps to create a more perfect union integrated politically as well as economically.</p>
<p>Finally, on 23 June, Leave or Brexit won by 52% to 48%, forcing David Cameron to resign in the coming October.</p>

<p>Now, to leave the UK needs to invoke an agreement called Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty and take the next 2 years to negotiate the terms of their withdrawal.</p>
<p><u>IMPACT</u>: the British pound dropped to a 31- year low of 1.35 against the US dollar with voting on the BREXIT referendum leaning toward Britain leaving the EU. This came after less than 24 hours after the Pound rose to the highest value of $1.50 in 2016. Notably, the drop in the British currency marked its biggest intra-day fall in history.UK and Britain has a very strong financial centre. Global banks and institution are heavily invested in UK, therefore, UK is not expected to lose its financial status.</p>
<p>Investors’ wealth in stock market took a hit of nearly 1.8 lakh crore, feeling the heat of Brexit with the benchmark Sensex plunging over 600 points- its worst performance in over 4 months. Fall in the stock market was so widespread that 23 Sensex stocks closed in the red, including Tata Motors, Tata Steel, L&amp;T and ICICI Bank crashing by upto 7.99%. At one point, all 30 Sensex stocks were in the red. Realty suffered most, followed by capital goods, banking and auto and IT.</p>
<p>At the BSE, 1,868 stocks declined, while only 655 advanced and 156 remained unchanged. Domestic stocks recovered some losses on value-buying in pre-close session and talking-up by influential policy makers.</p>
<p>Indian fundamentals are strong and Brexit is expected not to have a long term effect on India, except for those Indian companies manufacturing in UK will feel the impact.</p>
<p>Whereas, US stocks opened sharply lower on 24 June, reversing recent gains in global risk-off trade after Brexit. Sterling hit its lowest since 1985. It was the repricing of risk with heightened uncertainty causing this. DOW dropped 500 points and S&amp;P had its worst open since 1986.</p>
<p>The US Stocks surged into the close 23 June amid increasing expectations that Britain would vote to stay in the EU. As of the close 23 June, the major US stock indexes were tracking for a weekly gain of nearly 2% or more.</p>
<p>After the overnight result showing the result, Global stocks had plunged.</p>

<p>It was unbelievable for him.The number of hours he had put in on the range,the two back surgeries he had to suffer to prove it.He knew it had come later for him than most of the guys but then it was true.A dream that came true on the Sunday morning,July 26,2015.</p>
<p>This was what the triumphant 51 year old Golf star Marco Dawson who made a dramatic victory in the senior British Open after he sank 18ft birdie putt on the last hole for a round of 64 felt.He clearly defeated the legends Bernhard Langer and Colin Montgomerie.This was a narrow victory though because Langer also closed with a 64 and Montogomerie was two more shots back..It was a stunning comeback for this Golf player.</p>
<p>The Open Championship at Royal Troon,which is the golf’s oldest Major has opened its gates for the first time for Dawson after this wonderful victory.</p>
<p>You know a surprising fact??-This American has participated in 413 events of the U.S. regular PGA Tour.Amazing,right?But he has never ever won one. Until now,Dawson’s best finish was a runner up in Greater Milwaukee Open held in 1995 in which he occupied the second place behind Scott Hoch.</p>
<p>This victory is even more interesting because the rivals Dawson had to face were Langer who is two times U.S. Masters champion and has the first title in his 4<sup>th</sup> European senior and Montgomerie who won the last year’s senior U.S. Open and two times the senior U.S. PGA title.</p>

<p>Illiteracy happens to be the worst social curse of the 21<sup>st</sup> century that retards nation and society alike, but sometimes it is also capable of creating hilarious situation, to throw light to this fact let me narrate you an instance- a moisturising company in south Africa was shocked to discover that the demand for one of their moisturising products was unbelievingly high in one of the remote villages of     Africa , to show their gratitude they decided to send teachers to the village for the upliftment of the society, the company believed that the next year the sales will sky rocket , but much to their horror it drop down to zero, when a further study was initiated, they were astounded to hear that when the people were illiterate, they would consume the moisturising cream with bread , on being literate they understood it’s purpose, the bottom line of the story is that literacy helps you differentiate between your priority and wants, they understood the utility of product, saving themselves from the perilous ramifications of ignorance that they were living in</p>
<p>People in rural areas are still very reluctant to break the stereotypes, do away with the traditional norms thus leaving very little headroom for any change.</p>
<p>The government is coming up with various initiatives to rein in the escalating illiteracy, but somehow the offerings are not reaching the people at the grass rotes level</p>
<p>Census states that Kerala is the only educated state with very minute traces of illiteracy, apart from it all other states have been a laggard in the field of literacy,</p>
<p>organisations like ONUS teach for India have made successful attempts in bringing about the change to the society by encouraging parents in the rural areas to send their children to school</p>
<p>Each and every one of us have a hunger for education and values, but only few are really able to quench that thirst, the  proverbial fits very well into this description that everything comes for a price</p>
<p>This is something which is not just the duty of these organisation, it is incumbent on everyone to make little efforts to make their society a better place to live in, teaching night school students, a weekly pilgrimage to a nearby orphanage apprising them of the tenets of education will accentuate the future of not just those little kids but also infuse you with the feeling of pride and contentment</p>
<p>Education is just like those bright shiny colours and those underprivileged disheartened gloomy illiterates are just like the canvas, and we all are the artist</p>
<p>Now it all depends on us to hold the brush and be a part of the change or just sit and wait for someone else to do it, but the wait is never going to end and the change is never going to come</p>

<p>India known to be a developing country, is a land of cultures, traditions and values, however it is a prime area for sexual harassment to occur. Around 5 lakh children face sexual abuse every year. Young girls are sold as objects to become sex slaves and even forced into prostitution. 12 lakh children are tranferred , transported or received for the purpose of sexual exploitation all over the world, most of whom are Indians. Is this what we call a developing country?</p>
<p>The present condition has been worsened by the introduction of oxytocin injections in the market. This drug serves the continued propagation of species. Helpless, poor girls who are victims to child trafficking are being injected with this drug to make them mature before age.</p>
<p>Not just in India, it is prevalent in other countries like Singapore too. In today&#8217;s world, girls facing exploitation are more in number than boys. This gender gap might be because of higher victimization of girls, lower willingness of boys to disclose abuse or both.</p>
<p>In a poor country like India, it is not shocking to see people selling their kids off to be sexually abused, just to acquire basic necessities of life. Lack of employment, economic loss, no job security, lack of human rights are some of the many reasons of child trafficking.</p>
<p>Poor families sell their children off to gangs to make money. Another cause of sexual exploitation is that people around the world find pleasure in the outcomes of this abuse.</p>
<p>Had our government been more concerned to provide employment to poor people,give them job security apart from planning great pension schemes for themselves, I wonder how different the situation would have been!</p>
<p>Had the laws been implemented instead of just being on papers, then surely people would have said with conviction that &#8216;India is developing&#8217;,</p>

<p>A simple funda every student should follow, spend 3 hrs daily during the last two months prior to final exams in solving five &#8211; to -seven-year old question papers on related subjects taking in your mind as if you are appearing for final exams. Thereby it will help you not only in the field of confidence but also a positive attitude.It is good to spend more time on difficult and important topics. <strong>The best time to do this is during the early hours, when the mind is fresh. </strong>Positive thinking always provide us a way to success. Why get frustrated by failure? <strong>see it as an opportunity and work over it.</strong></p>
<p>The main thing , <strong>Anxiety </strong>should be avoided as it could lead to depression, poor memory and lack of attention. When you are full of fear, even then good preparation will not help. However poor performance ought not to make you feel inferior nor make you blame others, the simple you can do is.tell yourself you can and will do your best whatever the situation is. You can overcome any hurdle because you are not the only one facing such hurdles just you have to analyse and cope up with the problem.</p>

<p>Life is too short to love but we are busy fighting with each other. It is too short to care but we are busy making things difficult for others. We have got so much to share but our greed has overpowered our benevolent attitude. Why have we become like this? Is it actually our fight? Do we want this?</p>
<p>I believe that it&#8217;s not our fight, a common man has never gained anything from such conflicts. According to me, it&#8217;s a fight of a few people who want to gain power over the others, those people whose ultimate goal is to acquire control over everything.</p>
<p>However,this want of power has always affected general public who actually have no role in this whole scenario. They are the ones who are forced to leave their homes and are made to go to borders just to fight with the opponent country. What is the fault of these innocent beings who are pushed into such conflicts?</p>
<p>Wars serve no purpose. There is loss of life and property and it benefits neither of the countries involved. The direct consequence is wastage of manpower and resources. In countries where people struggle to earn daily bread and butter, there huge finances are wasted in the production of defence goods like guns, tanks, bombs etc.</p>
<p>People lose their loved ones and all their belongings. Just because of the greed of a few people, thousands of lives are sacrificed. One must have given a thought to whose greed I am talking about! It&#8217;s a greed of those people who want to gain power and rule other countries and they are our politicians.</p>
<p>See the irony behind it- Not even a single politician dies in these wars but lives of thousands of innocent people are sacrificed.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s after effects are just horrendous and remain for years. Therefore, wars are just pointless and serve no purpose. They never lead to growth and prosperity. Its important to understand that only fellowship, love, sensitivity and tenderness can help creating a harmonious society whereas hatred, greed or war will never lead us anywhere.</p>

<p>Just 3 months ago, a young 26 year-old co-founder and CEO of Housing.com was heralded as a<strong> role model for India’s startup</strong> space after giving away his entire shareholding (almost 200 crores) to his staff.Just a month ago, he was shunned off by the board, firing him from the company he co-founded.Just a day ago, he gave a <strong>comic crazy interview</strong> where a sleep-deprived Rahul discussed his infamous 5 minute long board meeting (where he was fired!) and his new <strong>startup</strong> claiming to come back with 100x&#8230;[10x of last formula] within 30 days.</p>
<p><em>Housing.com, founded in 2012 and headquartered in Mumbai, was a brainchild of 12 IITians to offer solutions to finding, selling and renting homes across the nation and today it has quickly raised around 90 million dollars.</em></p>
<p>Rahul Yadav’s highly entertaining stint as a CEO included him accusing prominent investors of vague misdeeds, publicly berating his directors, taunting other entrepreneurs and resigning and then not resigning and finally being fired!</p>
<p><strong>HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? </strong>When Sequoia Capital (a Silicon Valley venture firm) fired a Rahul’s staffer, Yadav accused Sequoia’s MD of ‘brainwashing’ employees. In his own words he was quoted as saying,&#8221;<em><strong>If you don&#8217;t stop messing around with me directly or even indirectly, I&#8217;ll vacate the best of your firm&#8221;.</strong></em></p>
<p>By the end of April, Yadav openly derided his board committee, clashed with investors over personnel appointments and wrote that he didn&#8217;t consider his directors <em><strong>“intellectually capable enough to have any sensible discussion”</strong></em> and thereby resigned. But he withdrew his resignation after a few days. Then followed an angel donation of gifting his entire stake (worth around 200 crores) to the company staff, which meant a year’s pay….all at once!</p>
<p><em>His statement:<strong> “I’m just 26 and it’s too early in life to get serious about money.”</strong> </em>At the same time, he challenged founders of other big e-commerce start-ups to do the same.</p>
<p>Also, in order to have some fun, he played a prank on media amid talks of Quikr taking over Housing.com, he later sent an email to his employees revealing that he answered positively to 50% journalists and negatively to other 50% about the possibility of takeover.</p>
<p><strong>WHAT FOLLOWED? </strong>Rahul and board directors of Housing.com had a tumultuous relationship. When they have had enough, they simply fired him because<em><strong> “his behaviour towards investors, eco-system and the media was not befitting for a CEO and detrimental to the company”.</strong></em></p>
<p><em>After being fired publicly on July 1, Rahul moved on and at some point of time updated his Facebook page<strong> “Looking for a girlfriend. Interested people please drop me a message”</strong>, which was obviously deleted later! Rahul’s flamboyant ways of dissing people he didn’t like, cost his CEO Job and plush apartment, which he no longer can afford!</em></p>
<p><strong>Currently,he&#8217;s working single handedly on a big project,to be out in 30 days.</strong></p>
<p><strong>There’s a reason why a CEO should never call his investors dumb!</strong></p>
