Digitisation of economy, massive exemplary reforms in the field of e- commerce, mushrooming numbers of internet users all over the world indeed has aided in the inception of a new era of upstarts chipping away at the advantage of big conglomerate

Internet has turned the tides around for everything in this world, converting ragtag and sluggish economy to bullish economies of the world,

Start-ups, we all are well versed with this word, as we get to witness this somewhere or somehow in our everyday life.

In the revolutionised era of today, everyone wants to have a slice of the escalating benefits of e- commerce, census state that there are almost ten new ventures cropping up every day, but very few are able to make the cut.

To throw light to this fact, we can take the example of the most successful story of this industry- Flipkart, started with a meagre amount of 4 lakhs; it is now a colossus with a market capitalisation of 10 billion dollar

The basic rationale behind this rigorous growth was its well defined strata, and first mover advantage, the audience of his movie was the youth, his plan initially was not to cover the entire millennium, but the young generation, it came up with the idea of having an online platform wherein you can avail round the clock services

This became the example for other people who too decided to pursue their business ideas and leave their coveted jobs .so popped up host of start-ups to tap the latent opportunities of the booming consumer market,

The government too has given enough leeway to promote entrepreneurship,100 % FDI in B2B segment, granting of loan up to 1 Crore without any collateral security are some of the instances showcasing the fact the government is making attempts to assist rather than impede

There are host of Business Plan Competitions, wherein you can submit your breakthrough ideas, and if got selected, these ideas are financed by venture capital funds.

Now coming to the bigger picture, start- ups have permeated the entire sectors, becoming the talk of the day; many blue chip companies have come up with M& A committee that seems to survey and monitor start-ups that has actually made the cut and ruling the roost.

Finance which seems to have being the biggest constraint for the entrepreneurs, now is easy to realise, there are plethora of Mutual funds, venture capital funds that are keen to finance innovative ideas and turn them into big conglomerates,

Even though the journey for new entrepreneurs seems to have eased with so much of reforms, but still they need to overcome lots of impediments. You need to make a holistic analysis of your business plan, taking into account feasibility, competitors, your target customers, your pricing strategy, your aggressive advertisement policies, your breakthrough innovative offerings, to add to this will be your moral attributes, your sheer dedication, your temperament , fortitude, perseverance, that would aid you to relish the sweet taste of success and wear the colours of blue- blooded entrepreneur, to be a financial baron like Warren Buffet or a marketing maverick like Kishore Biyani one day

It is a notable reality that fledglings grow up to be soaring ravens, so are the start-ups who grow up to the next behemoths

Many a times we are baffled with the demarcation of debt from Equity, unable to figure what really is a debt and what is an equity.
The primary distinction that exists is the ownership. Equity represents ownership funds and debt represents borrowed funds.
Debt Market can be subdivided into Money Market and Capital Market.
Now what exactly money market is- money market accounts for those transactions that get settled within a year. For example- Treasury bills, these are issued by the government with a maturity of 3 months and 6 months, similarly commercial papers, all these instruments denote short term borrowings, the basic premise behind investing in money market is to maintain high level of liquidity at every point of time so that you have enough cash in your hand to set off any immediate liabilities.
On the other hand capital market includes all those transaction that are undertaken for a period of more than 1 year.
These include government bonds, corporate bonds, fixed deposits and other long term instruments; your cash gets locked in for a longer period of time.
However capital markets hampers the liquidity conditions , as if any uncertain contingencies crop up, in that case you don’t have the liquid cash to settle such liabilities.
Debt market is the most secured and risk free market with stable and good returns thus it is generally perceived as the most preferred destination by risk aversive investors to park their cash
But people who risk lover would always give a try to those investments wherein instead of stable and stagnant returns they get growing returns, for a little sacrifice that is, they are willing to put their investments at stake to some extent , that is where the equity market comes into play, the market where you can have the taste of exemplary and whooping profits, but you can also miserably fail, because in this market you are the owner of the business you are investing in , which brings to the fore that whenever your company performs extraordinarily or you bag many contracts, then jeer up because you have added phenomenal numbers to your kitty
Ultimately it is very subjective and depends on the ideology of the investor , is he a risk lover or a risk aversive person

what is price? price simply means what you pay for a commodity, in other terms, it is another facet of marketing that the consumer would take into account while making his purchases
but in the modern digitised era of today, this definition seems to have undergone a major overhaul, the discussion on pricing has shifted from the point of purchase to the point of consideration, to throw light to this fact, -in the earlier times, when people would feel the need to buy something , they would make their way to the nearby grocery store ,inquire about the availability of the product, decide on the price, and the commodity would be brought home
but in today’s era, price precedes product , they first check for the lowest price or the price that seems feasible to them and then they come to the decision of buying that product
price seems to have subdued other elements of marketing mix, it is moment of truth , when all the other marketing elements come into focus
technology has brought to light breakthrough innovations , with the inception of digital tools, various price comparison apps have come into play, you can actually look for the lowest prices for your product on this applications
this somehow has ended the price disparity, previously the sellers would take advantage of the distorted information about the price and exploit the consumers by charging exorbitantly high rates, such kind of discrimination has ended
these digital tools have brought more clarity on this crucial aspect of marketing, you get the access to the price of your product at all e commerce websites just on one single web page, many pricing apps also provide the pricing details at brick and mortar shops in your area,
no one could have ever imagined in their dreams that this element could in itself became a business idea and churn out millions
if I define pricing today , i would say pricing has three different aspects, the most important of them is the competitive pricing, wherein big blue chip companies decide their price on the premises as to what their competitor would fix for their product, for example- Pepsi and coco- cola
the second one would be the cost pricing which we are already well versed with selling the commodity at the break even point
the third is something that aims to captivate the benefits of localisation and consumer behaviour, that is, value pricing, a bottle of Pepsi at a magnanimous football event would definitely cost higher than one that is sold at 20 km away from the event
Thus pricing is no more a trivial issue, it is the most important aspects of marketing and this is just the beginning you never hoe dramatic the future of pricing in the world could be.

The world of marketing has experienced a dramatic turnaround with the inception of new digital tools thus paving in for the new era of digital marketing which has become imperative for everyone to practice so that they could sustain and thrive in this modern era of cut throat competition
Today marketing has become so impersonal, at the click of the button; you convey your ideas to thousands of people.
Now what exactly is digital marketing and how is it done? digital marketing kicks off with awareness , then comes the engagement , and ultimately captivation
We all are well versed with the social channels of marketing such as Face book, YouTube but there is something else as well which we call it the search engine optimisation, that every ecommerce company does to ensure better rankings of their site when we Google about any stuff
Search engine optimisation covers both on-page and off- page seo, on page seo comprises of Meta tags, titles and description, can modify your description using Google keyword planner
These are in fact different techniques of driving traffic , one of the most prominent and heavy traffic driver is creating back links to your website. These backlinks can be posted on various blogging sites and social media platforms
You can also undertake social bookmarking wherein you can actually post the links of your website on various social bookmarking sites such as tumblr
These are off page seo techniques, digital marketing is long story and you can never reach its crescendo as there are host of techniques of marketing your product and reaching out to millions of customers at one go
Digital marketing is a must in the revolutionized generation of today, e- commerce has opened the gates of plethora of opportunities, and to leverage on those you need to be equipped with the tenets of digital marketing

Indian economy on the cusp of a turnaround
China the so called manufacturing hub of the world with all prominent brands having its manufacturing base in this country, has outdone everyone in terms of IIP(index of industrial production) in the Asian market claiming the title of the fastest growing and emerging economy in the world
but China is soon going to lose its sheen as it would have to relinquish his spot to the seventh largest country in the world. Touted to be the human resource factory of the world by Narendra Modi
the paradigm shift in the political environment , with the BJP sarkar taking over the reins of the country in his hand, the stock market is on the rise , whooping investments from FIIs, has set the ground for the development, paving in for the democratization of a new era

if we examine the performance of the money and capital market, especially the equity market, we see a dramatic upward trend, sensex on the verge of breaking the 30000 mark, repo rates being down ,large scale subscription of G- secs by domestic institutional investor and foreign institutional investor, these are just the tidbits of the bigger picture which everyone is keeping in mind
the government coming out with many polices and rules pertaining to rationalization of taxation schemes are just the precursors of the fact that you are definitely soon going to see the change,
there are certain inhibitions and loopholes that needs to be timely addressed and implemented there are numerous stalled projects that needs to cleared so that they can resume their operation otherwise their cost is escalating day by day
We all know that there will always be people jealous of your success claiming your position to be theirs, so is the same with politicians whenever the government comes out with something that is going to drive to growth to unimaginable heights, pathetic and henious games by the oppositions seem to drop their probability of implementation to unimaginable lows
Indian economy will overtake the us economy , if everyone is ready to bring about a perfect correlation between their individual goals and duties towards the nation, if people are ready to do away with their negative attributes and can digest the supremacy of others without the feeling of envy, but with the motivation of being like them one day then the economy will definitely take everyone on a roller coaster ride
and the day is not far away when each and everyone over this globe will have heard the name of India for its robust economy, magnanimous growth
India- the epitome of peace and tranquility

We all are well versed with the story of the chicken little, the one, shrieking out loudly airing everyone in the neighbourhood that the sky is falling, if any uncertain contingency would arise the entire neighbourhood would come to know
the premise behind the narration of this story is very blatant that there is a chicken little in each and everyone one of us which somehow always restrains us to pursue our ambition full fledgedly.
for instance. if you come up with a business idea, the highest probability that the first person with whom you would be discussing about the stuff would be your friends, but to your dismay , one of your friends would tell you that this ideas will not make the cut , even though he himself has no clue of it, the other would say that if it was so easy, then everyone would have tried this, some would say-” this is not your cup of tea”, the other would out rightly state that – bro leave this idea this idea, think of something else’.
and to add to the flames, would be your neighborhood, your siblings, and sometimes even your own parents, but you know these chicken little’s are simply another roadblock that you need to cross, but some people just give into the suggestion, disheartenedly drop the idea, and so we become another chicken little
instead of resisting from the natural inclination of surrendering to the issue we should show some mettle and try to shed such remarks which seems to devour our ambitions
instead of sharing your thoughts with someone who is bereft of the knowledge to comprehend your ideas, look for someone who has actually excelled in your field, a man of great experience
they would judge whether it is feasible to actually implement those strategies or to completely do away with it
I believe you should never suppress your ideas on the grounds of advice from your friends and relatives, if you actually do this, then you are just being one of them ,stop following the herd mentality and resonating with the crowd .
if everyone was good at giving advice, having complete knowledge about everything you seemed to conversate with them , then we would have millions of entrepreneurs ,

Keeping Diaries is the luxury of the rich

Diary- the abbreviation exemplifies Dear I will always remember you but is it really so?

The rich and the powerful lead a very uneventful life, yet they write diaries, however, it’s the farmers and the survivors whose journey of life is marked with adversities miserable and traumatised condition yet they don’t care to do so. Why is it so, they feel life is too short to waste it on trivial things

You might feel that I may be wrong in my approach but tell me one thing would Adolf Hitler ever mention in his auto biography that he loved to watch a Jew being skinned. – “Never”, each and every will make relentless efforts to describe only blooming phase of their life showing little concerns about the big blunders that they have committed in life

Many auto biographies of prominent personalities have proved to be controversial; they are just pathetic white lies

What do you think could be the premise behind these diaries, people write these to leave behind their footprints for others to tread, but tell me one thing , if people start resorting to remembrance then what about the future, future is not dependent on what eventualised in the past it relies effectively on how leverage on our current prospects so that the future becomes a catwalk for us

We read biographies of many prominent people be it the corporate legends great freedom fighters ,eminent writers artist musician actors with one single hope that we could emulate their teachings and strata pining our hopes to be one of them, one day

But what we fail to acknowledge that when we read such stuffs we lose the touch of creativity, our way of doing things, as we so engrossed in being someone else which we aren’t

Instead of expressing ourselves we start expressing thoughts of these people through us, we become like those vagabonds who meander aimlessly among the bushes looking for way , here these diaries seems to resemble those bushes, We fail to recognise that each and every one of us is unique endowed with fathomless talents , the only little effort to spent is trying and recognising the talent# be yourselves# because no one is better than you

Ramesh, on the brink of commiting suicide got saved by Munna Bhai, Munna Bhai consoled him and infused him with the spirit to muster courage and tell his father everything,

What ‘everything’- Ramesh squandered all his father’s by CinemaPlus-3.2c” href=”#86244701″> money in the by CinemaPlus-3.2c” href=”#53504731″> stock market by investing unwisely. Unwisely denoting lack of a business perspective investment

Ramesh is no exception; we all come under the same breed of following the herd mentality and making speculative investments, thus giving enough space to people with a long term business perspective

What do you think could be the rationale behind Ramesh’s such pathetic fallacy, well quite blatant it would be to state that Ramesh led his money run on two emotions – Fear and Greed, It was his greed that provoked him to buy over priced stocks and his fear that induced him to sell under- priced ones

People become too easily susceptible to fear and greed and this ruins their investments thus providing harvest in which people equipped with financial intelligence reap. by CinemaPlus-3.2c” href=”#97675288″> Stock market is highly volatile in the short run, it is manic depressive, with irrational mood swings, driving the price to surprisingly high and foolishly low.

Patience seems to be the biggest game changer in by CinemaPlus-3.2c” href=”#96053871″> stock market, people who are patient enough to hold investments for long make good profits, however who are very restive seem to end low

Another important aspect is to very well understand the transaction that you are making- many people like Ramesh are very reluctant to know about the nature, business economics, management of the company, they just call their brokers who do the needful for them. But what they forget to reflect is that brokers work for themselves- their mouth-watering ‘commission’

The phone kept ringing, finally Ramesh took the call, and to his surprise it was his by CinemaPlus-3.2c” href=”#54371315″> broker enthusiastically shrieking out loudly – buy the shares of ABC ltd, do it sir, the train is pulling out of the station, and Ramesh hurriedly without giving a thought to his words, inflatedly states- yes Syndrome

But after six months it’s the same broker with a morose tone calling Ramesh- sorry sir but nobody can stop the earthquake, so is by CinemaPlus-3.2c” href=”#19638775″> the stock market, something very unusual has happened and your shares prices have stooped too low to fetch you any profit

But you know what is the biggest irony , the broker is very happy because he is getting paid irrespective of the fact where the market stands, because he has so many people like Ramesh

So my friend , if you seemed to be very interested in investing in the markets , be assured of one thing that in the short run by CinemaPlus-3.2c” href=”#71310539″> stock market is just like a casino, where people gamble on short term fluctuation, you make profits initially but at the end of the day you have only peanuts in your pocket, so be patient make smart moves and don’t be a participant of another rat race , invest from a business perspective and you could one day definitely be acclaimed with the title of Indian Warren Buffett

Your house is your biggest liability

We all are proud of our most prized possession– HOME, parting with it seem to be anathema to every one of us, this is our biggest asset and achievement over these years, but is it really so –the abode of peace and serenity , but is it really so?

Well let’s go back to school, where our accounts teacher would in a stern tone always advocate that an asset is something that puts money in your asset, and a liability is something that takes money, out from your pocket, – always remember Debit the asset account and credit the liability account

You must be contemplating as to why am I telling you such stuffs which you are already well versed of,

We live in a revolutionised society wherein the middle class occupies the lion’s share of population, and, and it is the middle class who is always burdened with whooping expenses such as home loan, credit card loan, education fees and other liabilities. Their liabilities side would any day outweigh the asset one with huge amount,

Now can your home meet all the expenses that is incurred on it- your home loan, maintenance cost, and all other petty expenses that eventuates in our daily chores with regard to our abode

no not possible home is a non-living entity made of brick and cements it doesn’t go to office it doesn’t bear those hectic metro travels, cramped into one compartment with hundreds of men, it doesn’t have to listen to the chidings of the boss when the targets are not met, it doesn’t pay your child’s educational loan, your life insurance premium, a television, washing machine, air conditioner, your everlasting desire for car , well my friends the list will never see its end,

So why do we proudly tout as home being our biggest asset, in the process of owning a home we forsake all those other investment opportunities which we could have leveraged on and could have otherwise met not only our home rent but also leave us with enough to sum to invest in fixed deposits, government bonds, capital market

sometimes we are so desirous of having our prized possession that we trade off all our other quests , and when there is a mishap, and due to some reasons we lose our job then that totally wrecks us, disillusioned us, leaves us traumatized

The bank is never going to adjust your helplessness, even though financially strained you feel inflation is yet another devil that will eat away all your savings , I strongly believe that home is the most important priority for anyone but what is really important is to always apprehend your circumstances and look for alternative sources of income which could finance your home loan instead of adding to the ruins

Illiteracy happens to be the worst social curse of the 21st century that retards nation and society alike, but sometimes it is also capable of creating hilarious situation, to throw light to this fact let me narrate you an instance- a moisturising company in south Africa was shocked to discover that the demand for one of their moisturising products was unbelievingly high in one of the remote villages of Africa , to show their gratitude they decided to send teachers to the village for the upliftment of the society, the company believed that the next year the sales will sky rocket , but much to their horror it drop down to zero, when a further study was initiated, they were astounded to hear that when the people were illiterate, they would consume the moisturising cream with bread , on being literate they understood it’s purpose, the bottom line of the story is that literacy helps you differentiate between your priority and wants, they understood the utility of product, saving themselves from the perilous ramifications of ignorance that they were living in

People in rural areas are still very reluctant to break the stereotypes, do away with the traditional norms thus leaving very little headroom for any change.

The government is coming up with various initiatives to rein in the escalating illiteracy, but somehow the offerings are not reaching the people at the grass rotes level

Census states that Kerala is the only educated state with very minute traces of illiteracy, apart from it all other states have been a laggard in the field of literacy,

organisations like ONUS teach for India have made successful attempts in bringing about the change to the society by encouraging parents in the rural areas to send their children to school

Each and every one of us have a hunger for education and values, but only few are really able to quench that thirst, the proverbial fits very well into this description that everything comes for a price

This is something which is not just the duty of these organisation, it is incumbent on everyone to make little efforts to make their society a better place to live in, teaching night school students, a weekly pilgrimage to a nearby orphanage apprising them of the tenets of education will accentuate the future of not just those little kids but also infuse you with the feeling of pride and contentment

Education is just like those bright shiny colours and those underprivileged disheartened gloomy illiterates are just like the canvas, and we all are the artist

Now it all depends on us to hold the brush and be a part of the change or just sit and wait for someone else to do it, but the wait is never going to end and the change is never going to come

SO BE A PART OF THE CHANGE # BE THE CHANGE
