Job Summary:
As the Business Head for Infrastructure & Ports, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, driving business growth, and ensuring operational excellence in the infrastructure and ports division. This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the infrastructure and ports sector, strong business acumen, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy for the Infrastructure & Ports division in alignment with the overall company goals.
- Identify market trends, opportunities, and threats to formulate strategic plans that enhance the company's position in the industry.
Business Development:
- Drive business development initiatives to identify and secure new projects, partnerships, and contracts within the infrastructure and ports sector.
- Evaluate potential business opportunities, conduct feasibility studies, and make recommendations for investment.
- Foster relationships with key clients, government agencies, and industry stakeholders to enhance business opportunities.
Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of infrastructure and port facilities to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement and maintain robust project management processes to ensure the successful execution of infrastructure and ports projects.
Financial Management:
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and resource allocation for the Infrastructure & Ports division.
- Ensure the financial health of the business unit by monitoring key financial metrics and implementing cost-effective measures.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay abreast of industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure that the Infrastructure & Ports division operates in full compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government authorities, clients, suppliers, and community members.
- Address concerns and maintain a positive public image for the business.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks to the business and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Implement risk management policies and procedures to safeguard the company's interests.
Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities and support.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work culture that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
Reporting and Communication:
- Provide regular reports to the executive team and stakeholders on the performance of the infrastructure and ports business.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven track record of at least 10 years in a leadership role within the infrastructure and ports sector.
- Strong understanding of project management, business development, and financial management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful business strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of the regulatory landscape in the infrastructure and ports industry.
