Short title, extent, commencement and application
Short title, extent, commencement and application- This is the Company’s Act, 2013. It spreads throughout the India. This section should come into action for one time and rest of the provisions of this Act should come into action on such date as the Central Government may. Also, through notification in the Official Gazette, assign and various dates might appoint for various provisions of this Act.
The provisions of this Act should apply to:
- Organizations merged with this Act or under any former company law.
- Insurance organizations, excluding until now as the said provisions are unpredictable with the provisions of the Insurance Act. Also, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority Act;
- banking institutions, excluding so far as the said provisions are non predictable with the provisions of the Banking Regulation Act;
- Furthermore, companies involved in the production or source of electricity, excluding so far as the said provisions are unpredictable with the provisions of the Electricity Act;
- Any other organization administered by any special Act for the time being in action, excluding so far as the said provisions are unpredictable with the provisions of a special Act like this;
- Such body corporate, merging with any Act for the time being in action, as the Central Government may, by notification, clarify in this behalf, topic of such exceptions, changes or adaptation, according to the notification.
