Restaurants

A restaurant is an establishment that prepares and serves food and drinks to the customer in return for money. Meals are generally served and eaten on premises, but many restaurants also offer take-out and food delivery services. Restaurants vary greatly in appearance and offerings, including a wide variety of the main chef’s cuisines and service models.

Modern restaurants are dedicated to the serving of food where specific dishes are ordered by guests and are prepared to their request.

Restaurants are sometimes a feature of a larger complex, typically a hotel, where the dining amenities are provided for the convenience of the residents and, of course, for the hotel with a singular objective to maximize their potential revenue. Such restaurants are often also open to non-residents

A restaurant owner is called a “restaurateur “both words derive from French verb restaurer, meaning “to restore”. Professional artisans of cooking are called as “Chefs”.
