Serial Mouse – It uses DB-9 connector and was used by older PCs.

PS/2 Mouse – It is extensively used in PCs. It uses 6-pin Mini-DIN connector.

USB Mouse – It is a hot-swappable Plug-and-Play interface. It is used with most new operating systems, as the USB mouse drivers are automatically installed.

Wireless Mouse – The wireless mouse uses Infrared (IR) or Bluetooth technology. Infrared or Bluetooth signal is sent by mouse which is powered by batteries, to receiver on PC
