Mouse Basics

It is also called as mice and was developed to select data, menus using a cursor. Its use increased with GUI operating system like Windows. It was developed in the 1970s at Xerox’s Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), it was Apple in 1984 that used the mouse with PC on Macintosh. Many types of mice are available today. Basic technology mouse uses is sending the movement of mouse using a ball or light for the change in x or y co-ordinate with respect to mouse’s original position. A mouse pad is a pad for to improve mechanical mouse traction while offering very little resistance to the mouse itself. As optical science advanced for the mouse, lasers were used to allow a sharper image to be captured by the mouse and more sensitivity in motion detection. The mouse today can be wired to the computer system or wireless. Wireless versions use batteries to power them. Trackball is an upside mouse with ball on its topside and in which a thumb or finger is used to move the ball. The one, two, or three buttons on the top of the mouse serve different purposes for different software.
