Immovable Property

The term “immovable property” has been defined in Section 3 of the Transfer of Property Act, 1882 and Section 3(26) of the General Clauses Act, 1897. An immovable property shall include land, benefits arising out of land, and things attached to the earth, or permanently fastened to anything attached to the earth. Simply put, it means land and buildings.
