Grouping Basics

One important aspect of developing a web page is organizing sections of content on a web page. But to easily apply groups of formatting characteristics to whole sections of text grouping is needed.

Grouping of tags is a logical combination of specific tags so that a style can be applied to all the tags of the group by CSS or other styling options. It helps the HTML developer to combine tags in the source code to easily manipulate group of tags. The tags grouped helps in creating section or subsections in a webpage.

A web page has divisions according to the type of content found in each area of the page. A few common divisions or sections of a page might include the navigation, the body copy, the header, and the footer.
