Create, open and save files

To create, open, and save files in CorelDRAW 10, you can follow these steps:

Creating a New File:

  1. Launch CorelDRAW 10.
  2. Click on “File” in the menu bar and select “New” or use the shortcut Ctrl+N.
  3. In the New Document dialog box, set the desired dimensions, units, and other settings for your new document.
  4. Click “OK” to create a new blank document.

Opening an Existing File:

  1. Click on “File” in the menu bar and select “Open” or use the shortcut Ctrl+O.
  2. In the Open dialog box, navigate to the location where your file is saved.
  3. Select the file you want to open and click “Open.”

Saving a File:

  1. Click on “File” in the menu bar and select “Save” or use the shortcut Ctrl+S.
  2. If you are saving the file for the first time, the Save As dialog box will appear.
  3. Choose the location where you want to save the file.
  4. Enter a name for the file in the “File name” field.
  5. Select the desired file format from the “Save as type” dropdown menu (e.g., CDR for CorelDRAW files).
  6. Click “Save” to save the file.

Saving a File with a Different Name or Format:

  1. Click on “File” in the menu bar and select “Save As.”
  2. In the Save As dialog box, choose the location where you want to save the file.
  3. Enter a new name for the file in the “File name” field, if desired.
  4. Select the desired file format from the “Save as type” dropdown menu.
  5. Click “Save” to save the file with the new name and format.

It’s important to note that CorelDRAW 10 supports various file formats for saving, including its native CDR format, as well as commonly used formats like JPEG, PNG, PDF, EPS, and more. The available file formats may vary depending on the version of CorelDRAW you are using.
