Job Description
Job Role: Licensing Specialist – US Mortgage
- Location: Pune
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Licensing Specialist with hands-on experience in US Mortgage Licensing / Compliance to manage company, branch, and individual MLO licensing across multiple states. The role will own the end-to-end licensing lifecycle, including applications, renewals, regulatory tracking, audits, and ongoing compliance through NMLS.
What You’ll Do
- Manage company, branch, and individual MLO licensing through NMLS
- Handle new license applications, renewals, sponsorships, amendments, and terminations
- Track state-wise licensing requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, and Leadership for documentation and approvals
- Monitor SAFE Act, state licensing, and regulatory requirement changes
- Support external regulatory audits and conduct internal licensing checks
- Track MLO education, renewal timelines, and compliance requirements
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in US Mortgage Licensing / Compliance / Regulatory Affairs
- Hands-on experience with NMLS
- Strong understanding of company, branch, and MLO licensing
- Knowledge of the SAFE Act and state mortgage licensing requirements
- Experience managing multi-state applications, renewals, and audit documentation
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, follow-up, and deadline management
- Good communication skills with the ability to coordinate with regulators and leadership
