Pseudo-Elements :First-Letter And :First-Line

They are used to stylize the formatting of the first letter or line of a paragraph by using the pseudo-elements
• :first-letter
• :first-line
As per their names, they either refer to the first letter of the paragraph or the first line of an paragraph thus helping in control over the formatting of the first letter and first line of a paragraph completely from CSS. But in CSS 3 pseudo-element uses a double colon ( :: ) preceding each pseudo-element.
Their usage is shown
p:first-letter  or p:first-line
