Fixed Positioning

It makes an element stationary in the same fixed position, even if the webpage is being scrolled by the user. IE 6 does not support fixed positioning. Elements with a fixed position are always positioned relative to the view port, regardless of whether they are contained in an element with relative or absolute positioning applied. A fixed-positioned element is always positioned relative to the view port’s edge as shown in the figure
