Dependency Management

 

During an acquisition process, the process is a set of tasks that are interdependent. This is a part of normal project management process. Sometimes the internal dependencies are very important and this is where the dependency management comes into play.

These are a few guidelines for an effective dependency management

• Authority: These involve deciding that who will make what decisions, which will have the final say.
• Roles: This involves clarifying the expectations and defining each individual’s responsibility.
• Goals/values: This involves explaining the goals and identifying the success, explaining the risks.
• Accountability: This involves deciding how progress will be tracked and what will be done to rectify the mistakes.
