Job Role: Operations Manager-Transfer Agency

  • Location: Gandhinagar, Gujarat

Role Overview

The Transfer Agency (TA) Department provides Fund Administration services to a wide range of fund management companies, covering the complete spectrum of investor servicing functions, including transaction processing, reporting, AML, registration, and payments.

This role is responsible for performing Business‑As‑Usual (BAU) activities within the Transfer Agency function, with a strong focus on AML quality reviews. The incumbent will ensure that client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are consistently met or exceeded while also ensuring full compliance with applicable regulatory and AML requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform AML quality reviews across all entity types, including:

-Corporate entities
-Foundations and Charities
-Institutional Investors
-Designated bodies

  • Conduct reviews in line with AML policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Possess sound knowledge of IFSCA AML Guidance.
  • Identify, document, and track quality review findings, including proposed remedial actions.
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to associates and offer coaching/support where required.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of AML regulations across jurisdictions such as:

-Cayman
-Delaware
-Australia
-Ireland
-Bermuda

  • Use and review outputs from sanctions and screening tools, including (but not limited to):

-World‑Check
-Pythagoras
-LexisNexis

  • Maintain accurate and well‑organized client and investor records.
  • Perform periodic remediation activities based on investor risk ratings.
  • Prepare and deliver quality, compliance, and MIS reports accurately and within defined timelines, without follow‑ups.
  • Ensure all activities align with internal controls, client SLAs, and regulatory expectations.

Technical & Regulatory Knowledge

Strong understanding of FATCA and CRS reporting requirements.

  • Ability to review and validate U.S. tax forms, including:

-W‑9
-W‑8BEN
-W‑8IMY
-Withholding statements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially:

-Excel (advanced skills preferred)
-PowerPoint / presentation skills (added advantage)
