We have got a simple but equally comprehensible idea about consumer buying patterns and the class they are divided into. A good way to generalize is based on the mindset of the applicable customer. The different aspects of a person’s mindset can be classified as follows Facial recognition, Emotions, and memory, attention, and self-awareness. facial recognition is more about understanding facial expressions. In general, they can be looked upon as depending upon the past and present. The past referring to the immediate past, I.e the effects of strain are evident on the person’s facial expressions. In the next article, we’ll discuss how present influences behavior.

The remaining types of affluent consumers:being the humble charitable type and the kind of people who are mixture of all the above but in different and definite proportions.

An appropriate method to spot customers of the former would be to come with plans that is equally extravagant but definitely not so obvious to the public eye.For eg: The Business Development Team team could promote the bestowals of mementos or personal letters of appreciation from esteemed and honored people or schemes that are aimed at charity and significantly promoted among this class.

Now on to the most common type aka the people with all these features. The best way to approach these consumers would be with a mixture of the above discussed approaches. Now before we go on to contemplate about the average consumer, lets recognize the importance of innovation when it comes to developing sales plans etc.

As discussed in the previous article, behavioral patterns could very well be taken into study to form the base for a marketing strategy. The Business Development Team could work on an idea to differentiate and target the different types of “well off consumers” based on their characteristics(Refer previous article – http://vskills.in/certification/blog/marketing-and-psychology-1/).

For eg: A simple questionnaire could be handed over to the consumers after making significant efforts to establish a sense of importance to the questionnaire thus getting a vast and genuine outset into the consumer’s behavior patterns. After getting an idea about the characteristics of the consumer,The business development team could execute different marketing plans as follows.

If the consumer is of the” flamboyant and excessively spending type”,the most obvious way would be to charge excessively and exploit the flamboyant nature in terms of schemes so as to put maximum amount of spotlight on the consumer. For eg: Putting their photos on signages and circulars or classifying them as best customers. In short, any such acts of publicity that would boost their ego.In the next article, we’ll think about the remaining types of rich consumers.

Consumers are classified based on their purchasing capacities which as one would expect boil down to their purchasing capacities. Generally classified in layman terms The Rich and The average middle-class man. This series of articles aims to focus on how a market regardless of the product it aims to sell, could focus on the behavior and psychological patterns of the consumer.Lets focus first on how a market could sell its product to a significantly well off consumer. They could once again be classified based on their behavior as:

1)The flamboyant and excessively spending consumers

2)The humble and down to earth consumers.

3)Those Customers who are more than likely to be closely associated with charity.

4)A mixture of all the above but definitely in definite proportions.

There is no doubt that the last category is the most popular one.In the next article ,we will introspect on how marketing managers and Business Development Mangers could work on these characteristics.
