Identify Your Passion<\/span><\/h2>\n

Passion is essential to successful blogging. Without, and your blog will struggle right away.\u00a0So, when planning your new blog, ask yourself:<\/p>\n

  1. What do you\u00a0really<\/em>\u00a0enjoy doing?<\/li>\n
  2. What is your expertise?<\/li>\n
  3. Can you write about this?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If you are passionate about coffee, yoga, and tennis, it would not be smart to blog about all three.<\/p>\n

    The reason is you will confuse your readers if you write blog posts about very different things. You need instead to pick one topic \u2013 ideally your expertise \u2013 and start writing articles about that.<\/p>\n

    If you write well, you\u2019ll start to position yourself as an expert in your field, and that\u2019s when the fun aspects of blogging really kick in. As an expert you can convince people to subscribe, comment, share your work, and maybe even buy from you.<\/p>\n

    A niche is a group of people with the same interests. In blogging, niches form around a topic, like financial advice, travel, and cooking.<\/p>\n
