Agentic AI is more like a smart worker that can not only answer, but also plan, act, and adapt while doing the work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, if you ask a regular AI to \u201cwrite an email,\u201d it may generate the email text. But if you use an agentic AI system and ask it to \u201cplan a client follow-up,\u201d it may:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>read past conversation notes,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>identify pending tasks,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>draft the email,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>suggest meeting times,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and even update a task list.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This ability to act toward a goal is what makes it \u201cagentic.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Agentic AI usually has some key features:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Goal-oriented behavior<\/strong> \u2013 it works toward completing an objective.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Planning<\/strong> \u2013 it can break big tasks into smaller steps.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Decision-making<\/strong> \u2013 it can choose what to do next based on available information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Memory\/context use<\/strong> \u2013 it can use previous steps or past information to continue the task properly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Adaptability<\/strong> \u2013 it can change its approach if something does not work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Agentic AI is becoming important in many fields such as customer support, research, coding, operations, finance, and personal productivity.
