Understanding Templated Controls<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Templated controls are a powerful feature of ASP.NET that allow you to define custom markup and behavior for individual items in a collection of data. Templated controls are used extensively in data-driven applications to display and manipulate data, and they are also used to create reusable user interface components such as custom form controls and widgets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Templated controls are defined in the markup of an ASP.NET page using templates. A template is a block of markup that defines the appearance and behavior of an individual item in the control. The most common types of templates are the ItemTemplate and the EditItemTemplate, which are used to define the appearance and behavior of items in read-only and editable modes, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
