It is the head of the page, and contains all header elements. It is the first element after the opening <html> tag. It contains a title, a description of the page and location for CSS and JavaScript files. The element has an opening <head> tag, the closing <\/head> tag, and everything in between. It is a container for processing information and metadata for an HTML document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Usually it contain following elements<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<base> element<\/strong> for creating a “base” url for all links on the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<object> element<\/strong> for including images, JavaScript objects, Flash animations, MP3 files, QuickTime movies and other objects for a page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<link> element<\/strong> for linking to an external file, such as a style sheet or JavaScript file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<style> element<\/strong> for including CSS rules inside the document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<script> element<\/strong> for including JavaScript or VBScript inside the document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<meta> element<\/strong> includes information about the document such as keywords and a description, useful mainly for search applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
