To modify a font:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Select the cell or cells that you would like the font applied<\/li><li>On the <strong>Font<\/strong> group on the <strong>Home<\/strong> tab, choose the font type, size, bold, italics, underline, or color<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vskills.in\/lms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/image181.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-94482\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Format Cells Dialog Box<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Excel, you can also apply specific formatting to a cell. To apply formatting to a cell or group of cells:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Select the cell or cells that will have the formatting<\/li><li>Click the <strong>Dialog Box<\/strong> arrow on the <strong>Alignment<\/strong> group of the <strong>Home<\/strong> tab<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vskills.in\/lms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/image183.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-94483\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>There are several tabs on this dialog box that allow you to modify properties of the cell or cells.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Number<\/strong>:&nbsp; Allows for the display of different number types and decimal places<\/li><li><strong>Alignment<\/strong>:&nbsp; Allows for the horizontal and vertical alignment of text, wrap text, shrink text, merge<\/li><li>cells and the direction of the text.<\/li><li><strong>Font<\/strong>:&nbsp; Allows for control of font, font style, size, color, and additional features<\/li><li><strong>Border<\/strong>:&nbsp; Border styles and colors<\/li><li><strong>Fill<\/strong>:&nbsp; Cell fill colors and styles<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Add Borders and Colors to Cells<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Borders and colors can be added to cells manually or through the use of styles.&nbsp; Unhide<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vskills.in\/lms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/image192.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-94488\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Merge Cells<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To merge cells select the cells you want to merge and click the <strong>Merge &amp; Center<\/strong> button on the <strong>Alignment<\/strong> group of the <strong>Home <\/strong>tab.&nbsp; The four choices for merging cells are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Merge &amp; Center<\/strong>: Combines the cells and centers the contents in the new, larger cell<\/li><li><strong>Merge Across<\/strong>: Combines the cells across columns without centering data<\/li><li><strong>Merge Cells<\/strong>: Combines the cells in a range without centering<\/li><li><strong>Unmerge Cells<\/strong>: Splits the cell that has been merged<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vskills.in\/lms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/image193.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-94489\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Align Cell Contents<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To align cell contents, click the cell or cells you want to align and click on the options within the <strong>Alignment<\/strong> group on the <strong>Home<\/strong> tab.&nbsp; There are several options for alignment of cell contents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Top Align<\/strong>:&nbsp; Aligns text to the top of the cell<\/li><li><strong>Middle Align<\/strong>:&nbsp; Aligns text between the top and bottom of the cell<\/li><li><strong>Bottom Align<\/strong>:&nbsp; Aligns text to the bottom of the cell<\/li><li><strong>Align Text Left<\/strong>:&nbsp; Aligns text to the left of the cell<\/li><li><strong>Center<\/strong>:&nbsp; Centers the text from left to right in the cell<\/li><li><strong>Align Text Right<\/strong>:&nbsp; Aligns text to the right of the cell<\/li><li><strong>Decrease Indent<\/strong>:&nbsp; Decreases the indent between the left border and the text<\/li><li><strong>Increase Indent<\/strong>:&nbsp; Increase the indent between the left border and the text<\/li><li><strong>Orientation<\/strong>:&nbsp; Rotate the text diagonally or vertically<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vskills.in\/lms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/image194.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-94490\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Format Worksheet Tab<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can rename a worksheet or change the color of the tabs to meet your needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To rename a worksheet:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Open the sheet to be renamed<\/li><li>Click the <strong>Format<\/strong> button on the <strong>Home<\/strong> tab<\/li><li>Click <strong>Rename<\/strong> sheet<\/li><li>Type in a new name<\/li><li>Press <strong>Enter<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vskills.in\/lms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/image196.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-94491\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>To change the color of a worksheet tab:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Open the sheet to be renamed<\/li><li>Click the <strong>Format<\/strong> button on the <strong>Home<\/strong> tab<\/li><li>Click <strong>Tab<\/strong> Color<\/li><li>Click the color<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vskills.in\/lms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/image197.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-94492\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reposition Worksheets<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To move worksheets in a workbook:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Open the workbook that contains the sheets you want to rearrange<\/li><li><strong>Click and hold<\/strong> the worksheet tab that will be moved until an arrow appears in the left corner of the sheet<\/li><li><strong>Drag<\/strong> the worksheet to the desired location<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vskills.in\/lms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/image199.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-94493\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Insert and Delete Worksheets<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To insert a worksheet:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Open the workbook<\/li><li>Click the <strong>Insert<\/strong> button on the <strong>Cells<\/strong> group of the <strong>Home<\/strong> tab<\/li><li>Click <strong>Insert Sheet<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vskills.in\/lms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/image200.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-94494\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>To delete a worksheet:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Open the workbook<\/li><li>Click the <strong>Delete<\/strong> button on the <strong>Cells<\/strong> group of the <strong>Home<\/strong> tab<\/li><li>Click <strong>Delete Sheet<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vskills.in\/lms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Image-1-8.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-94495\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Copy and Paste Worksheets<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To copy and paste a worksheet:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Click the tab of the worksheet to be copied<\/li><li><strong>Right click<\/strong> and choose <strong>Move<\/strong> or <strong>Copy<\/strong><\/li><li>Choose the desired position of the sheet<\/li><li>Click the check box next to <strong>Create a Copy<\/strong><\/li><li>Click <strong>OK<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vskills.in\/lms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/image202.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-94496\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Split a Worksheet<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can split a worksheet into multiple resizable panes for easier viewing of parts of a worksheet.
