Layout or top row in alphabets is Q, W, E, R, T and Y. It connects to computer by PS/2 or USB connector. Keyboard problems are about stuck keys or loose connectors, and are mostly detected during POST. But if keyboard becomes unresponsive then
- Unplug the keyboard connector from PC after switching off the PC.
- Attach a working keyboard to keyboard connector of PC and verify, if new keyboard is working then the older keyboard is problematic else there is a motherboard-related problem.

Keeping a keyboard in good working condition needs regular cleaning. To clean a keyboard, follow these steps
- Turn the keyboard upside down and shake it to remove foreign material.
- Blow dust and other particles with help of a blower.
