\"Reward<\/a><\/p>\n

People spend a major part of their lives by getting engaged in their work . They want something in return  from their work , some sort of ‘token of respect’ or motivation to work which they can remember whole of their life. Their organisation can play a major role in giving them token in the form of ‘REWARDS’. Giving rewards to the employees, when they do their work superbly or do more than expected, can make  them very happy and they’ll work more motivatedly . Moreover , employees feel more satisfied when they get rewards and appraisals and their satisfaction is an extremely important issue for the organisation.<\/p>\n

‘Rewards  management is one of the key strategies used to create a motivated and committed workforce. Studies have long shown that employees who are motivated and committed to the organisation are less likely to quit (Mowday, 1998; Ramlall, 2004). Favorable perceptions of rewards, in turn, have been linked to positive human resource outcomes such as employee job satisfaction, work motivation, affective commitment, high levels of performance and organisational effectiveness (Bratton & Gold, 2007; Squires, 2001; Ulrich, 1997).’- Ines Meyer<\/p>\n

Therefore it is very important o provide rewards to employees. Rewards can be devided into 2 categories ie. monitory and non- monitory . Monitory rewards means rewarding them in terms of money .For example- increment in their basic pay , providing them extra commission etc. Non- monitory rewards involves providing them perks like giving them letter of appreciation, standing ovation for remarkable work etc. Employees can be rewarded in the following way as well :-<\/p>\n

* promoting them<\/p>\n

* increasing their pay<\/p>\n

* providing them perks like a free trip nearby<\/p>\n

* giving them some title<\/p>\n

* a letter of appreciation when they perform well<\/p>\n

* a memorable farewell party etc…..<\/p>\n

Employees are the biggest assets in every organisation and therefore they should be taken care off. These rewards are a mark of respect given to an employee and employees feel more attached to their organisation. they work more hard so as to make their performance better plus contributes towards the collective growth of the organisation.<\/p>\n
