According to Harvard Business review ‘ Talent Management at its heart means a matter of anticipating the need for human capital and then setting out a plan to meet it. Talent Management is an organisation’s commitment to recruit , retain and develop the most talented and superior employees or in other words we can say that Talent Management basically refers to hire , manage and retain talented employees .’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Yes , we are quite clear now about the concept of Talent Management . To know more about it we are going to refer to’ Dr. John Sullivan- Internationally known HR , thought leader from the Silicon Valley . According to him Talent Management is the integrated process of ensuring that an organisation has a continuous supply of highly productive individuals in the right job , at the right time and according to him their are four primary principles of Talent Management .<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

1. An integrated approach within HR : Talent Management formally integrates people management programs and functions so that they work as a continuous process.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

2. Integrating people processes into standard business processes : Talent Management goes the next step further repositions people’s management programmes and processes into the company’s standard business process , such as the corporate strategic planning process , budgeting , mergers and new product development.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

3. Shifting responsibilities to to managers :Talent management pushes the accountability and the responsibility for executing people management down to the line management level .<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

4. Measuring success with productivity : Talent management  shifts the success measures from the more traditional Human Resource and recruiting functional towards measuring the overall productivity of the workforce .<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
