Google, the apex IT firm, is about to make a huge change in the coming days – Mobile-Geddon!\u00a0 The announced move basically would change the order in which websites are ranked during a Google search on their mobile phones on the basis of their mobile-friendliness.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em> The change may\u00a0 affect some of the less tech- savvy small organizations or the SMEs badly. They are going to hit pretty low when it comes to the number of website visitors.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Google had announced this move back in February. Therefore, the webmasters were given enough time and information to bring up these changes and keep their websites from going down on Google rating.<\/p>\n

This move has even been named as \u2018Mobile-Geddon\u2019 owing to the fact that it could be catastrophic for many of the websites<\/strong>. This move is to help users by boosting the Google Search ranking of the mobile-friendly websites. So, the users would now not be redirected to the pages that are not so smartphone friendly.<\/p>\n

So, there are a few tips that can help the content marketers to face this strong move by Google \u2013<\/p>\n

This test would tell you the evaluation results. Plus, it would also bring to the forefront the reasons and ways to improve. Use only Google\u2019s own Mobile Friendly test as your litmus test.<\/p>\n

          So, there might be huge MNCs with huge technical budgets who still aren\u2019t able to meet the evaluation. And, there may be small start-ups with restrained budgets who with the smart use of technology would rise up above on Google\u2019s Parameter. The design of the website, therefore, should be simple & responsive. It should allow your page to load fast and help the users to share and link your content with much ease. And hence, this implies that the Google\u2019s bots would be gaining more efficiency and speed while indexing your website\u2019s content. Webmasters can also use the adaptive web design approach. This converts the HTML code of the website on mobile automatically. However, the detection of user-agent may produce errors. Therefore, simplicity is the best option for increasing mobile-friendliness.<\/p>\n

Plus, with most of the traffic on websites coming from mobile, and the number increasing at such a huge pace. Therefore, if you face plummeting of the website traffic, nobody but you are responsible.<\/p>\n
