Neil Degrasse Tyson, currently the Director of the Hayden Planetarium at the Rose Center for Earth and Space<\/em> and a research associate in the department of astrophysics at the American Museum of National \u00a0History<\/em>, is a cosmologist, astrophysicist, author and a science communicator.<\/p>\n

Quite popularly known for hosting the educational science television show NOVA Science Now\u00a0<\/em>on PBS and as a frequent guest on the Daily Show, The Colbert Show\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Real Time<\/em>\u00a0with Bill Maher, he has also hosted the weekly radio show Star Talk.
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

With 2.58 million Twitter followers, he is the most followed astronomer or scientist till date… what do you think makes him stand here?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mr. Tyson’s research on astronomy, cosmology, stellar evolution, bulges. galactic astronomy has been commendable; with all his popular books and the “Universe” column for the\u00a0Natural History\u00a0<\/em>magazine. His terms, phrases and quotes too, are such that clearly depict this man’s quest for knowledge.<\/p>\n

Tyson has also extended his views on topics like science and spirituality; his essays o such stuff are those that are most read by the most knowledgeable people of the world and are such commented upon that even deepens the metaphor of the words!<\/p>\n

Mr. Tyson has also talked about being an African-American and how he didn’t face even a single hurdle owing to his race in his whole journey, from where he started to where his commands this respect today. As per him,if you have the required potential and the strength, there is nothing in the world that can actually stop you from standing straight, achieving your goals and raising your head. Though, he has often confessed that he knows that there is a lot to say about this stereotype in this world, this stereotype that has been prevailing since ages and will do for generations; and there is nothing much that can be done to help the situation.<\/p>\n

He is also an advocate for expanding the operations for NASA and has also collaborated with PETA. He is also very renowned for his interview with the Time<\/em> Magazine <\/em>where he revealed some of the most astounding facts about the universe that can even move you to tears!<\/p>\n

Well.. I hope I have written enough to induce a curiosity in all my readers to find out who this man is and what lies ahead of him…<\/p>\n
