Just take an example, why people want to abort girl child.?
If a girl is born, parents have to use all their wealth for their studies,living and marriage ( with a huge amount of dowry). Plus if daughter is pregnant they have to take care of them, and then the expenditure of newborn. In return girls even cannot give a single drop of water at the end of parent’s life. This is the situation right here. And as you see gender discrimination is connected with many other social evils.
