What is a drone?

Drones are a new entrant in the relatively untapped UAV market in India. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) or Drones as they are popularly known, are mainly used for covert surveillance and bombing in areas that pilot driven aircraft can not venture.Their flight is controlled either autonomously by on board computers or by the remote control of a pilot on the ground or in another vehicle. Drones are thus operated manually; yet this technology has a number of uses that make drones attractive to a number of markets.

The major advantage of UAVs is that they can be used in areas that are unexplored by mankind; areas where it is too risky or dangerous for the human to go and research. This is the main reason why drones are being extensively used by military personals!

Though there are a number of drones, coming in various shapes and sizes so as to serve different purposes of mankind; out of these military drones are the most important one identified.

MILITARY

Apart from this, drones, due to their flexible nature, can also be used in mining, rare photography, tap various unknown resources, catch predator movements and behavior etc.

Ii’m quite sure that most of us, being updated about the latest gadgets and accessories would know nothing of this brilliant invention! But don’t you think this article gives you enough reason to go and find out what a drone actually does and how!

Facebook or FB, as they most often say is one of the most surfed and visited sites over the Internet today. With around more than 3 billion users globally, this social networking site, once not even known about, is one that each and every individual uses today.

Founded in 2004 by  Mark Zuckerberg, with his college roommates and fellow students at the Harvard University has its origins in California, USA. Initially  created as a simple user profile website, FB today has a variety of features and options that allow the users to surf the net while they exchange messages, pictures, updates, videos, notifications and what not.People can accept, send and even reject friendship requests that again gives them the choice of filtering their friend lists and sharing their life with only those whom they know.

Apart from this, FB also comes with a very unique feature of privacy setting: a setting that further allows you to filter people in your friend list so that you are visible to only those who you want to.

Facebook is also available on public offering; initiating just 3 months after it was founded, reaching a market peak capitalization of 104 billion too soon!

Though speaking of the ownership percentages of the company, Mr, Mark owns only 28% of the total shares; this man is the one who is credited with the invention of this site and the mind behind this great idea.

Quite interestingly, almost 90% of the total revenue for FB comes from advertising; something that most of the big brands are resorting to these days. FB advertising is one of the cheapest and the most effective means by which a label can be easily made known to people. Though this site has often been criticized as being used as a platform for hacking accounts and other cyber crimes; the number of users have not gone down. Rather, the toll is on an increase with each day!

Well… why go far? Can you spend a month without FB? I’m sure most of you cannot!

IBM…Windows…Microsoft… Things that are indispensable to us today! But can you ever imagine even doing without these??

The answer of course is a big No! From assignments to calculations, from school projects to measuring distances and areas; we all have it in our hands. Thanks to some of the big minds of the world; we have almost all the graphs and stats in our fists, on the click of a mouse. And one of the biggest names that counts here is Mr. Bill Gates.

William Henry  Bill Gates; a philanthropist, a computer operator, an inventor, a business magnate and what not! This man is also the former Chief  executive and chairman of MICROSOFT, credited for its foundation with Mr. Paul Allen. Ranked in the Forbes’ list of the world’s wealthiest people, it was the 28th of October’1955 that this great personality came into the world.

Apart from being one of the best entrepreneurs the world has ever seen, quite interestingly, Gates is also a drop out from the Harvard University! Yes… this personal computer genius dropped his studies and preferred to go for his interests and pursue his dream because he believed he could make much more out of his life.

Evident from his business career and his ways of management; Gates is also a brilliant strategy maker and implementer. His employees have always said that he has not only occupied and made his position but also defended it throughout the years. His programming language products gave him a reputation that nobody could even touch! His partnership with IBM is another phase that can be taken into account to see how this man has revolutionized the world in a new sense.

Today, at 55, this man, though working only part time at Microsoft, as he transitioned himself to work for the Bill and  Melinda Gates foundation years back, has his reputation and power intact. Not only is the company’s space growing but also Mr. Gates has to his credits working for various social causes where he has been donating huge sums of money hoping to change the world for a better tomorrow!

As they say, “It is only the people involved in the system who know the reason and the ways to change it!”

September ’11 attacks or the 9/11 attacks, as they are most commonly referred to… one of the most destructive and awful days counted in the history of the world. A day that not only destroyed lives but a city; it just didn’t lead to a loss of property but ruined a generation!

A series of four coordinated terrorist attacks launched by the Islamic terrorist group on the famous Twin Towers in the city of  New York and the  Washington metropolitan area, it killed almost 3000 people, causing at least a $10 billion damage to life and property. Four passenger airliners were hijacked out of which two were crashed into the North and South towers of the World Trade Center.

The effect of this incident that took place around 8:45 in the morning was felt for much longer than it was thought. What seemed was not a recoverable loss, but things were even worse. People died, some went missing, some couldn’t be traced ever, the city lost its twin towers, the health conditions went bad due to the dust and smoke that was left behind; many who survived the massacre died due to this!

If this was not enough, the city and its people went through their toughest times during this phase. The loss to life and property was very much visible but there was a danger too, a fear of similar attacks repeated!

Yet, the courage and the strength of the citizens is admirable enough; having lost almost everything they had for something they were not responsible for; it didn’t take them long to stand up again and fight the world. The city went back in time, yet it again stood up to development, regaining back the position and power it had earned itself in the past years!

The current and the 44th President of the United States: BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA is one of the best and the most effective leaders that the world has ever seen…

Born in Hawaii and the First African- American to hold the office; this man has been credited not only with his victory in the Democratic Party but has also his name associated with some of the most influencing campaigns that made the world look at it with an all-new perspective and direction.

Beginning with is a presidential election in 2007, this man is one of the very few leaders in the history who has won almost 90% of the delegates to receive the presidential nomination!

During the first two years of his rule, he confined himself to the research work with the Economic Legislation, charting out ways to fight the Great Recession. For the same purpose, he reinforced and introduced many reforms such as The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization etc.

Apart from this, there are many other domestic campaigns and programs that have been initiated by him to make the nation what he calls his Dream Country!  If this was not enough, Obama ended U.S military involvement in the Iraq War, helped Afghanistan increase its troop levels, signed the New Start arms control treaty with Russia and also led to the death of Osama bin Laden: a man who has caused intense harm to life with the 9/11 attacks!

Owing to what this man has done in his political career and what promises he made, he has re-elected the President in 2012. The nation had such faith in him that it became almost impossible for anybody to take his space. His works and the way he addressed his citizens clearly revealed his intentions and his concern for the world. His speeches are one of the most heard ones where people not only listen but try to understand his points and plans; that have such an impact that the audience take a pledge to support him in whatever he does and wherever he goes.

Undoubtedly, Mr. Obama is a rare personality, a man who doesn’t just put in words what he thinks but also conveys the same through his actions.

The human mind is a kaleidoscope of millions of ideas: as it watches things and weaves them together. We, as humans have such high potential that we can change the mankind and its destiny only if we put up our energies together; there are no obstacles or hurdles that a man can’t cross!

History is a big proof how some people, just like us, have completely revolved the face of mankind! These people were no different from any of us; the only difference was that they thought and them executed. Their ideas were just as raw as any of our dreams; yet, they believed in them and thus, created things and powers hat the world had never seen nor even thought of! Here are some of the greatest minds the world has ever seen, who, walking on the simplest of the paths have changed the vision of the world for the rest of its scenario!

SIR ISSAC NEWTON: One of the greatest scientists and physicists of all time; this an is described as a key figure in the scientific revolution. Deriving the law of motion and the universal gravitation phenomenon; Mr. Newton will always dominate the scientists’ view of how the universe and its elements move!

ALBERT EINSTEIN: Another physicist and a German born philosopher, he’s the one behind the general theory of relativity and the mass-energy equivalence. Also known as the God of physics, Mr. Einstein has laid down such mechanics and theories that are not only hard but impossible to question! His principles have only being accepted and worked on further since they were derived and formulated.

THOMAS ALVA EDISON: An American scientist and businessman, he is credited with the invention of many devices that have only made life easier for us. Ranging from the electric light bulb to the motion picture camera, from sound recording devices to power utilities, this man has become the reason behind a million of smiles and relieves since the day he started projecting his thoughts!

Though the list doesn’t end here: there are many more of the names and a thousand more of the credits, these are some names that will always be engraved on the pages of history in golden letters!

The post EVER IMAGINED THIS COULD HAPPEN?? appeared first on Vskills Blog.

Now having written a few articles, I’d like the readers to have something different! So, here I come up with a piece ‘Self-composed’  that illustrates how life is one of the strangest paths to travel; from immense joy to tearful nights, from success to bowing down, from being the best to being criticized; it makes you go through all! At some point of time, we all have experienced it, yet we are here today and this only fact, that we get up, steady ourselves and raise our head is what makes an individual a strong person; a SURVIVOR in his own eyes…

Towards the end, I do as I say

and if it really doesn’t work,

I’m strong enough to stay!!

I portray as if I don’t care

No matter how the world is unfair

‘coz even if I’m not the best

I still am better than the rest…

No doubt you’ll criticize me

Still I say,”you are no one to define me…”

I know the time is running far

yet there is a place to reach beyond the stars..

Molestation…separation…

Rejection and frustration…

There is a lot more than this in my life

I have goals to achieve and I need to strive!!

True that you seem to be strong,

Yet even I’m not wrong…

My conscience tells me what to do,

I don’t need words, I know how to prove…

I can see it’s not the end,

You just try to oppress and offend…

I’m smart enough, I can fight…

‘coz I’ll never let you out of my sight…

There’s a lot more that’s going on..

Sometimes a wave; sometimes a storm…

Yet my expressions know how to conceal…

You’ll never get to know what I feel…

A thousand silent words…

A hundred beautiful smiles…

Some expressions to guess; a gesture

Some thoughts conveyed by my eyes…

I’m not backing out; I don’t fear…

and don’t try to stop me; don’ even dare!!

I’m not perfect; I may make mistakes,

Still there are reasons why I don’t hesitate…

There are no true reasons to cry,

I’ll better open my eyes and fly high…

There are a thousand ways and I’ll choose,

No matter what, I won’t let myself lose…

And it’s just the beginning…

I’ve just started to walk…

There is a long way to go,

with each second knocking by the clock!!
